Tiger Woods has gone public with his relationship with Vanessa Trump, the former daughter-in-law of the current US President, despite his chequered past

Tiger Woods’ new partner appears unfazed by the golfing star’s past indiscretions and extramarital affairs. Woods recently put an end speculation by publicly announcing his relationship with Vanessa Trump, the former daughter-in-law of the current US President.

Woods shared a series of photos of the couple on social media. The 15-time major champion also requested privacy in the wake of the intense media scrutiny that followed the dissolution of his marriage to ex-wife Elin Nordegren.

Woods, 49, was married to the Swedish model for five years when, in November 2009, rumors began to swirl about a relationship with New York City nightclub manager Rachel Uchitel.

In the same week, stories of a heated dispute between Woods and Nordegren emerged. The golfer notoriously left their home barefoot before driving off and crashing his black Cadillac Escalade.

Woods subsequently released a statement accepting responsibility for the incident and requesting respect for the privacy and well-being of his family. However, after more revelations surfaced, the former world No.1 confessed to undergoing treatment for sex addiction, having engaged in multiple affairs.

Yet, according to the Daily Mail, Trump, 47, is unperturbed by his previous transgressions. She was married to Donald Trump Jr for 13 years before filing for an uncontested divorce in 2018, and they have five children together.

A former colleague of Woods is viewing the spotlight on Woods’ recent disclosure in a favorable light. Acknowledging that his ex-boss had initial reservations about announcing it, there’s relief that Woods can now nurture the relationship without the baggage of secrecy.

“At least this is a positive thing, just a new relationship,” the former employee remarked. “I know that Tiger didn’t want to share the news. But now that he has, there has to be some relief. Now he can just go and live his life.”

Adding an interesting twist, Vanessa’s daughter, Kai, shares an affinity for golf and is slated to join the University of Miami next year to compete at a college-level.
