Tommy Fleetwood was seen embracing his wife, child, and step-children after coming so close to winning on the PGA Tour for the first time, as his unwanted record continues.
Fleetwood was looking to end his somewhat incredible run, with the Merseyside golfer being the player to have earned the most money on the tour without amassing a single tournament win. Fleetwood played strongly throughout the week, but just missed out on the top spot behind USA Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley.
After finishing in second, Fleetwood was seen embracing his wife and kids. He’s earned more than $31 million in career earnings, the most earned by someone without a PGA Tour win.
Fleetwood’s wife, Clare, has been alongside throughout the majority of his career. She was seen hugging the star before he embraced his kids.
Clare is 23 years older than Fleetwood. The two share one child together, and the elder two are from her previous marriage.
Clare also acted as his manager before the two saw their relationship grow, marrying in 2017. She regularly attends events in support of her husband.
The age gap between the two has been a regular talking point when they’re seen together on the PGA Tour, with the 57-year-old previously admitting that it caused a strain on their relationship in the past.
Speaking on the Performance People podcast, Clare admitted that she was left feeling “anxious” and “paranoid” about being judged, given their romance, going from colleagues to marrying.
When asked if the age gap is something that impacts their relationship, she said: “It kind of is and isn’t. I mean, it was way more at the beginning.

“It was kind of not actually for us, but it was just again thinking what other people are thinking about all the time and within the industry.
“It was kind of big news in our circle, so I was a little bit paranoid about all that, really. But not for any reason of our relationship, and I had full faith once we fell in love.
“You know, that was it, baby and dog, we were in. And then it was just navigating through the gossip, basically.
“But that was quick because people saw us and knew it meant something, and the people who were the doubters have redeemed themselves, let’s say, and admitted they doubted wrongly so.”
