And DeChambeau got to know Scheffler very well throughout that week at Whistling Straits.

The LIV golfer has been in fine form himself over the past two years, but the PGA Tour star has been on another level, and it seems like it all started at the Ryder Cup in 2021.

DeChambeau and Scheffler played two four-ball matches together in 2021, and took 1.5 points from those games.

Recently, Scheffler gave short shrift to a question asking him if Bryson Dechambeau leaving the PGA Tour has made it easier for him to win golf tournaments.

However, it seems like the two golfers get on very well off the course, or at least they certainly did back in 2021.

DeChambeau has clearly been a huge fan of Scheffler since partnering him at the Ryder Cup four years ago.

Bryson DeChambeau’s Scottie Scheffler prediction before he won on the PGA Tour

If we would have listened closely to DeChambeau four years ago, we would have all seen what was coming with Scheffler.

DeChambeau was speaking about the triumphant 2021 U.S. Ryder Cup team just one month after the event, and he offered huge words of praise for Scheffler

I would also say that I had a great partner Scottie Scheffler. He is insane. He is such a good player. He has never won on Tour but he will win on Tour. He is a rookie on the Ryder Cup but he felt like a veteran. It was super sick.

The LIV star then opened up on what made the 2021 Ryder Cup team so great.

We all just came together, he explained. The most important thing about that event is that I think as a country we came together. We have been struggling for a long time in this country and we needed a little gusto and a little jump. I think the Ryder Cup provided a bit of that.

I think golf is doing that. That’s why it’s so special and unique. It’s different to any other sport. You can just create things that nobody has ever seen before. That is what I am trying to do.

Scheffler’s first win on the PGA Tour came at the Waste Management Phoenix Open in 2022, and he has not looked back since then.

15 more PGA Tour wins have followed for the 29-year-old, and during that time he has firmly established himself as the world number one.

And it would surprise absolutely nobody if Scheffler ended the 2025 season with a couple more wins under his belt.

Scheffler is a supreme ball-striker – the best on tour. He’s one of the best all round drivers of the golf ball as well, if not the best.

The 29-year-old’s short game is exceptional, whilst he has improved his putting to jump inside the top 30 on the PGA Tour this season.

The scary thing for his rivals is that Scheffler will most likely get a lot better from here on out.
