Representatives from the law firm GKA filed a lawsuit with the Paris Commercial Court on June 11, asking Tesla to take back the car and refund the purchase price or payments made up to now, so that the car owner can switch to another electric car.

Tesla’s brand image has reportedly taken a hit this year due to Musk’s political involvement and his brief tenure as head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). Tesla’s sales have fallen significantly, especially in Europe, where the brand is now one of the few with a negative image.

Although the Tesla Model Y is one of the most popular electric cars here, sales of the model are still down 50% compared to the same period last year, despite the facelift.
