CAROLINE WOZNIACKI has announced she is pregnant – just days before ex Rory McIlroy goes for glory at The Masters.

The former tennis World No1 revealed she is welcoming her third baby with ex-NBA star husband David Lee.

Wozniacki, 34, announced the exciting news on Sunday in an emotional post on Instagram.

The Dane appeared alongside Lee and their two children, Olivia and James, in a sunny beach snap.

Olivia was holding an ultrasound picture in the adorable update.

A delighted Wozniacki told her 1.3m Instagram followers: “Officially switching to zone defense!

“Our family couldn’t be more excited to welcome baby #3 soon.”

Both Olivia, 3, and James, 2, were born during Wozniacki’s three-year hiatus from the WTA Tour.

The former Australian Open champion initially retired in 2020, only to return in 2023.

She explained: “Over these past three years away from the game I got to make up for lost time with my family, I became a mother and now have two beautiful children I am so grateful for.

“But I still have goals I want to accomplish.

“I want to show my kids that you can pursue your dreams no matter your age or role.

“We decided as a family it’s time. I’m coming back to play and I can’t wait!”

Since returning to tennis, Wozniacki has twice reached the fourth round of the US Open.

But she hasn’t played this year and could now step away from the game again with another baby due.

The Dane was previously engaged to McIlroy, who ended their relationship just days into their wedding preparations in 2014.

McIlroy, 25 at the time, decided to pull the plug after sending out the couple’s wedding invitations, as he felt he wasn’t ready for married life.

He is said to have ended things with Wozniacki, who was then 23, over a short phone call.

The Northern Irisman has since married Erica Stoll and goes for a first-ever Masters title on Thursday.
