Gwen Stefani Celebrates Husband Blake Shelton and Dad Dennis on Father’s Day: ‘We Love U So Much’

Shelton is the stepfather to Stefani’s three sons, whom she shares with ex-husband Gavin Rossdale

Gwen Stefani is taking time to honor the father figures in her life.

On Sunday, June 15, the singer, 55, shared a Father’s Day tribute on Instagram, which included photos of her with her dad, Dennis Stefani, and her husband, Blake Shelton. Shelton is the stepfather of Gwen’s three boys.

“Happy Father’s day … we love u so much,” she wrote in the caption.

Gwen shares Kingston, 19, Zuma, 16, and Apollo, 11 with ex-husband Gavin Rossdale. Shelton, 48, has helped raise the boys over the years.

During an interview with KFROG’s The Ride with Kimo & Heather in 2021, the country singer shared he “can’t imagine life without these kids now.”

“I have a stepfather in my life who’s one of my heroes,” Shelton added . “I love my stepfather and I look up to him and he’s like a father to me, so I have a good inspiration in my life for how to do this and the kind of stepdad I want to be. And I take it very serious.”

A source told PEOPLE that before Shelton proposed in 2020, the country singer asked for Stefani’s sons’ approval. The source added that Shelton is “an amazing partner and a great extra dad to the boys.”

Last year on Father’s Day, Stefani shared a video of glimpses of her and Shelton’s household — from their children’s colorful drawings to cute clips of the boys embracing their stepfather — set to the tune of their duet, “Happy Anywhere.”

“And a very happy Father’s Day to @blakeshelton,” Stefani wrote in the post’s caption. “We love u so much!!”

The pair initially met in 2014 when they were both judges on The Voice, when they were both going through respective divorces. They started dating one year later, and Shelton proposed in October 2020. The couple tied the knot at Shelton’s Tishomingo ranch in Oklahoma on July 3, 2021.
