“You are so pretty Carrie even without much makeup”
Carrie Underwood’s fans are accustomed to seeing her in full glam, whether she’s on stage for her Las Vegas residency or sitting behind the judge’s table on American Idol. But the country music star just shared a selfie from her own Idol watch party, and fans can’t stop commenting on her natural look.
Fans who follow the “Before He Cheats” singer on social media know that when Carrie is not on stage, she’s probably digging in her garden, tending to her chickens, or baking in her kitchen. For the latest episode of American Idol, she treated herself to a glass of wine and a loaf of sourdough bread (homemade, we assume!).
Carrie smiles into the camera in the fresh-faced selfie. She captioned the post, “Fresh boule and a glass of vino. Ready for the next episode of @americanidol tonight! #CUonIDOL”
Fans ran to the comments section to comment on Carrie’s photo:
-
“I think natural Carey [sic] is my favorite 🤍🤍”
-
“Whoa! I had to do a double-take. Yes, she’s a natural beauty.”
-
“Carrie you look so naturally beautiful!”
-
“You are such a beautiful lady inside and out! ❤️ 🍞”
-
“So fresh faced and glowing, love the simple look beauteous!”
We have to agree—while we love seeing Carrie in head-to-toe sequins, we love to see this casual side too! (Plus, we need that bread recipe!) After a short break, she’ll be heading back to Las Vegas on April 2 for the final shows of her residency.
Carrie Underwood’s Comment on Throwback Photo of Her ‘Big Hair’ Is Priceless

It’s beyond safe to say that Carrie Underwood has come a very long way since she was a contestant on American Idol (AI) back in 2005. Not only is she now one of country music’s most successful and biggest stars, but she’s a judge on the show, for crying out loud!
But even though she’s at a high point in her career, Underwood isn’t about to forget the humble roots she came from. Once upon a time, she was just a regular girl from Oklahoma who had an incredible set of pipes and a dream. That’s why she couldn’t help but have a good chuckle after being asked to sign a throwback photo from her AI days.
As you’ll see, she just couldn’t resist commenting on her “big hair,” and what she said is priceless.
LOL! “I don’t know who this is. She’s got a lot of hair going on.”
She certainly did! But considering this was the get-up she wore to sing the iconic Heart song, “Alone,” the big hair was totally necessary. I mean, it had 80s written all over it.
As for Underwood’s thoughts on the outfit that went with the hair? She gave us another great one-liner.
“I was thinking I had to stay in budget because I had no money.”
Well, that certainly isn’t a problem now! In a follow-up video, she also dished out some details of some of the other laid-back attire she wore as a contestant on the show. Check out her “fit check” from Hollywood week.
Classic T-shirts and jeans for the win. Amen.
After once again mentioning how she was working with a limited budget, fans were quick to chime in on how true she’s stayed to her roots.
One said, “Bless you for being you!” And another added, “Love that you haven’t lost your humility. 💕”
And that’s just one more reason why fans can’t get enough of her. Keep the throwbacks coming, Carrie! We love seeing how far you’ve come.
