Carrie Underwood’s ‘Dark Side’ Scares Luke Bryan

Carrie Underwood may constantly be in the public eye, but her latest movie revelation left everyone “blown away.”

During a recent episode of American Idol, the country star shocked her fellow judges by naming her favorite movies—and all three come from the horror variety.

Contestant Kendall Cudd directed her question at the “Before He Cheats” singer, asking for her top three favorite movies of all time.

Underwood didn’t hesitate as she listed the Michael Myers-led Halloween as her first choice, before adding that she’s seen “all of” the Nightmare on Elm Street movies and the entire Alien franchise.

“Fun Fact, my 3 favorite movies are: Halloween 🎃 Nightmare on Elm Street 🫣 and Alien,” she doubled down in the caption of the Instagram post.

“It’s Carrie’s dark side,” Luke Bryan interjected in the clip.

But it wasn’t just Bryan who was thrown off by the revelation as the contestant also gasped as Underwood named each title before adding, “I really wouldn’t have guessed this from you.”

Bryan found the perfect opportunity to squeeze in one more playful jab, stating, “I’m scared to sit by her at this point.”

Fans immediately jumped into the comment section to share their thoughts, with one top-liked post writing, “All real Carrie fans know this! Carrie loves horror movies 🍿” as a second dubbed her “Scary Carrie.”

“That’s my girl!!!!! Love ya even more!!!!” someone else wrote, as another warned, “Gotta watch out for the quiet ones 😂” and a third suggested, “I’d be more frightened if someone DOESN’T like Halloween…”

Let’s just say if Underwood invites us to a movie night at her house—we’re there. And we’re keeping our fingers crossed that a horror movie debut is in her near future.
