One of the world’s richest billionaires is now living in a 37m2 rented apartment after selling all his houses.

Despite his enormous wealth – estimated net worth of $160.4 billion (according to Forbes), it’s not difficult for Elon Musk to buy any luxury villa. However, he chose a minimalist lifestyle by selling all his personal real estate and renting a small house near SpaceX headquarters.
The billionaire once shared on SpaceX that “My home now is a $50,000 apartment in Boca Chica/Starbase that I rent from SpaceX. But it’s awesome.”

The apartment is actually a prefabricated, foldable home built by housing startup Boxabl, according to a New York Post report.
According to research, Elon Musk’s current home is a ranch-style bedroom house, located on a green grassy road near SpaceX’s Starbase facility.

In response to rumors about owning “secret mansions” or “giant estates”, Elon Musk completely denied and affirmed that he did not own or build these magnificent mansions or villas.
This famous billionaire admitted to investing in real estate in Texas but it was for business purposes.

His only known residence today is a $50,000 home near SpaceX headquarters, which he spent an additional $19,000 on to renovate to his liking.
With an area of only 37 square meters, Elon Musk’s living space has a full bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen, scientifically arranged to save space.

This house is made from materials that can withstand harsh weather.
The floor-to-ceiling glass doors act as windows, making the design modern and allowing for plenty of natural light.
The interior is also designed quite minimalist and smart. The bedroom for 2 people comes with a Murphy bed that can be folded into the wall, helping to save maximum space.

The wardrobe is considered the perfect partition between the bedroom and living room to ensure privacy.
The kitchen area also has a full double sink, oven, dishwasher, faucet, microwave, mini dining table and bar stools.
The bathroom, although quite compact and modest, is fully equipped.
Elon Musk once confessed that he has no interest in accumulating houses, his only known residence is still the above $50,000 house.
After his last home in San Francisco went on sale for $37.5 million in June, Elon Musk no longer owns any homes.
