Elon Musk’s 5-year-old son causes tiger-head bags in China to sell out; what does the manufacturer have to say?

Appearing alongside his father in traditional Chinese attire and carrying a tiger-head bag, billionaire Elon Musk’s son became the center of attention. In particular, the handcrafted tiger-head bag he was wearing unexpectedly became highly sought after, with sales skyrocketing within just a few hours.

X Æ A-Xii, the son of American billionaire Elon Musk, is known to the public by the nickname X. According to a post on X on Thursday, Elon Musk wrote in Chinese: “My son is learning Mandarin.”

In the shared photos, the boy is seen holding Elon Musk’s hand as they run alongside his father in the Great Hall of the People, standing out among the businessmen in dark suits thanks to his light gray silk waistcoat in a Chinese style and a shoulder bag inspired by folk art.

This image quickly gained attention on social media due to the boy’s adorable and lively appearance as he accompanied his father in the delegation of businessmen accompanying the president. 

According to Red Star News, a sales consultant for the Chinese handcrafted design brand Sheicai Chu stated that the shirt X was wearing was a product of their brand. 

Elon Musk’s son, X, is causing a sensation on social media with his handmade tiger-head shaped bag. 

This matching parent-child outfit is listed at 970 yuan (approximately $134) on the brand’s official sales platform and typically takes 15-20 business days to complete on a custom order.

The boy’s shoulder bag also attracted a lot of attention. Initially, some netizens mistook it for an accessory shaped like a dragon.

A representative from the local handicraft brand Ya Xiaoqi Handcraft stated that this tiger-head shaped bag was handcrafted by artisans in Guangxi.

The design is inspired by traditional tiger-head hats and shoes from Northwest China, with embroidered motifs symbolizing good fortune. The product is listed at 398 yuan and is discounted to 338 yuan.

According to Chinese media, sales of the product surged after the boy appeared with the bag.

The tiger-head shaped bag is made in Guangxi and is inspired by traditional folk designs.
