Riley Green Plays Peacemaker When Girl Brawl Erupts Mid-Concert: “I’m Gonna…Keep an Eye on Y’All”

It seems like some concerts have turned into rowdy, brawl-marred melees lately. There was a ruckus that broke out recently during a Riley Green concert, per Whiskey Riff. Green was on stage doing his thing at the Hertz Arena in Florida. Two women reportedly started engaging in fisticuffs while he was singing “Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue (The Angry American)” by Toby Keith.

That must have been very disconcerting, to say the least. I mean, who wants people vigorously pummeling each other when you are in the middle of a song? Still, Green acted like a gentleman to quell the disturbance. He said to the warring parties, “Y’all got this figure out right here? Hey listen, if y’all wanna fight, let’s wait ’til we get done singing about America and we’ll all go out back and beat the [expletive] out of each other. But just for a minute, we could unite. Y’all ready?”

Green Stepped in Again Like an Exasperated Referee

Evidently the two fractious females weren’t done fighting yet. Green did his referee thing again trying to get them to stop. He said, “Well, we haven’t got it figured it out yet. We were close. I thought we united for a second, hang on. Listen, y’all got too many extensions to be fighting like that, you’ll pull everything out. What’s the problem? Who’s got an issue? You’re good now? Okay, who else has got an issue? Anybody else?”

He added, “Just stay right there and enjoy yourself. This is going to be fun. I’m gonna stay right here like a parent/teacher conference and keep an eye on y’all.”

What class. What restraint. And what a great sense of humor Green has. That line about the hair extensions is a real hoot. Not many people would have even thought of that. I give him lots of credit for not losing his temper or his focus. And that part about the parent/teacher conference. I love it.

He Is Touring Through the End of the Year

Green will be on the road until the end of 2025. Fans can see him at venues in place like Alabama, Canada, California, London, and Idaho.
