OnlyFans star Lil Tay has a message for women who choose to work typical 9 to 5 jobs.
“If you’re over the age of 25 and you’re still working a 9 to 5, you are a failure” Lil Tay, 18, said in a Saturday, August 16, Instagram video. “Like, by then you should’ve already made your bag. And ladies, every single one of you should drop the link, like me. Literally just make your bag. Who gives a f*** what anybody thinks?”
Lil Tay claimed that her family “kicked [her] out,” adding that she was “disowned.”
“They don’t talk to me anymore. They don’t f*** with me,” Lil Tay continued of her alleged family dynamics. “But who gives a s***. I can literally buy their whole life if I wanted to. I’m good. Also f*** education ‘cause Harvard was never gonna help me make eight figures. That’s why I dropped out of it and I dropped the link instead.”
She captioned the post, “EVERY girl should drop a link 💗.”
Users were quick to weigh in on Lil Tay’s remarks in the comments section of her post. “Sorry girl but I’m going to college 😭,” one user wrote, while another added, “So being a doctor means I’ll be a failure?”
Lil Tay launched her OnlyFans page earlier this month, claiming that she made $1,024,298.09 on her first day. In a screenshot of her income shared via social media, Lil Tay allegedly made $511,003.79 in subscriptions, $26,736.19 in tips and $486,558.11 from messages.
“$1M in 3 hours 🤩We broke the f*** out of that onlyfans record 🥰🥰🥰,” Lil Tay wrote via Instagram on August 3. “Come see content I took of myself at 12:01AM on my 18th BDAY😳ONLY AVAILABLE FOR 24hrs.”
Days later, Lil Tay’s dad, Chris Hope, told TMZ that his daughter is an adult “and can make her own decisions” — adding that he wouldn’t be monitoring her content. “I am sure she is going to be successful in whatever she decides to do,” he said. While Hope noted that he’s aware “some people won’t approve no matter what she does,” he’s not going to judge Lil Tay.
The internet personality rose to online fame at age 9 when her social media videos began going viral before her rap career, where she collaborated with stars like Diplo and Jake Paul, took off in 2018.
Since launching her OnlyFans, Lil Tay has made headlines by challenging fellow adult content creator Sophie Rain to a boxing match and offering $60 million — which she declined.
“I don’t need $60 million to prove anything to someone who’s been irrelevant since middle school,” Rain, 20, said in an exclusive statement to Us Weekly earlier this month. “Calling me out won’t bring her clout back. That ship sailed a long time ago.”
