Tim McGraw has several social media accounts, but he isn’t allowed to post to most of them himself. The 58-year-old reveals that either he doesn’t understand the platform, or the people around him think it’s best if others post on his behalf.

“It’s a new world, right?” McGraw acknowledges. “You do things in different ways to get out there to people that might not have seen some of the stuff that you do, and it’s kind of a cool little thing. Of course, there’s always bad sides to everything, so I don’t get too deep involved in it. I don’t know how to get on TikTok, to tell you the truth.”

McGraw goes on to say fans can blame – or credit – Faith Hill with McGraw not sharing everything he wants to.

“And my wife in particular won’t let me directly say stuff on Twitter or Instagram or anything,” McGraw admits. “So, I have to go through my people to do it, because my wife said ‘Whatever you do, don’t give him access to be able to do it on his own, because there’s no telling what he might say.’”

Hil might not let her husband post on social media, but he likely doesn’t care. The Louisiana native says it’s Hill who changed everything for him, for the better.

“I’ve been lucky. I’ve been very fortunate. First off, meeting my wife saved my life. I was a wild man,” McGraw says on Tracy Lawrence’s Road House podcast. “I was having fun. “She turned my life around. I couldn’t have found a better woman. Not only beautiful and talented, but just a good, good person. And then having our daughters, it’s life-changing. They make you a better person, and they certainly calm the demons in you.”

Hill has mostly retired from the spotlight. But the two did get to tour together, on two Soul2Soul tours, a career and personal highlight for McGraw.

“She makes me a better artist every time I have to sing with her. Because to me, I think Faith, when you listen to her music and you listen to her albums, I think she is probably one of the best singers in the world,” McGraw says. “She just really has such a soulful voice, and her musical taste is just so incredible.”
