Tiger Woods Reportedly Had ‘Awkward’ Conversation With Ex-Wife About New Romance

Prior to word getting out that Tiger Woods was dating Vanessa Trump, he called his ex-wife, Elin Nordegren, to give her a heads up — this according to the Daily Mail.

Sometime at the end of 2024, a phone conversation took place that a source said was “awkward.”

“It was a pleasant, almost friendly conversation. Her response at first was like ‘Seriously? A Trump? For real?’” the source told the outlet. Nordegren, who remarried in 2019, was said to be “more amused than anything. But she really quickly just accepted it.”

It seems as though Woods may have told his ex-wife about his new relationship because he wanted to introduce their kids — Sam, 17, and Charlie 16 — to Trump.

“They’re not the type to give each other their ‘blessing’ per se, but they keep each other in the loop with anyone who is going to spend any amount of time around the kids,” the source said.

News of Woods’ relationship with Trump broke in mid-March. Though the two haven’t spoken out about the romance, nor have they gone Instagram official, sources say they are happily together.

“Their friends know they are dating. The two were careful to keep their dating under wraps as they built up their relationship,” a source told Page Six in an article published on March 14.

So far, things seem to be going well for Woods and Trump, who reportedly started dating around the Thanksgiving holiday.
