British Prime Minister condemns billionaire Elon Musk’s ‘inciting’ remarks
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has criticised US tech billionaire Elon Musk for his “dangerous and inflammatory” remarks at an online event last weekend.
According to the Guardian, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s office on September 15 criticized billionaire Elon Musk’s recent speech at a far-right rally in London.
“The UK is a fair and tolerant country. The last thing we want is dangerous and inflammatory statements. Such language is unacceptable and can cause violence on the streets,” the British Prime Minister’s office stressed.
Sharing the same view with Mr. Starmer, the leader of the British Liberal Democrats Ed Davey also called for considering sanctions against Mr. Musk for his statements “sowing discord in British democracy”.

On September 13, billionaire Musk gave a speech to hundreds of thousands of people attending the “Unite the Kingdom” march in London. Here, Mr. Musk called for the dissolution of the British Parliament and warned of “imminent dangers”.
“We cannot wait another four years, there needs to be a change of government in the UK. Parliament needs to be dissolved and a new election held. The British people need to look around them and realize the dangers that can happen if they do not fight back”, Mr. Musk said.
According to local media, an estimated 100,000 – 150,000 people participated in far-right protests in the UK over the weekend. Some extremists clashed with the police, injuring 26 officers. As of September 15, London police have prosecuted 8 subjects for disorderly conduct.
