Harry Styles Would ‘Love’ to be Featured on Stevie Nicks’ New Album: ‘He’s So Stoked’
Stevie Nicks has revealed she’s hard at work writing a new album, and a source exclusively tells Life & Style that One Direction alum Harry Styles is itching to be part of the project, as the pair’s unlikely friendship continues to strengthen.
“They have stayed in close contact, they share music they like back and forth and check in on each other,” the insider explains of the superstars. “So, it’s very conceivable that Harry will get to contribute to this upcoming album in some way. He would never push for it, he’ll wait for her to ask, but of course he would love to be a part of anything she’s doing.”
In light of the “Watermelon Sugar” hitmaker’s interest in collaborating with Stevie, 76, the source notes that he is “first and foremost a massive, lifelong fan” of the Fleetwood Mac legend.
“So, either way, he’s thrilled to see her putting out new music. As her friend, he’s so stoked because he knows that being creative like this means she’s got a new energy for life, which is fantastic for her as an artist and a person,” Life & Style’s source continues.
The feelings are mutual, and “Stevie is equally enamored with Harry and his talent as a musician.”
“It’s a friendship that a lot of people in her life don’t really get, but she’s very proud of their bond. She thinks the world of Harry,” the source gushes.
Stevie announced her upcoming album in April at the Pollstar Awards in Los Angeles. The “Landslide” artist shared that the Pacific Palisades fires sparked her desire to start a new project while she sheltered in a hotel for 92 days before returning to her home.
“I have seven songs, and they are autobiographical real stories,” Stevie shared. “I’m not pulling any punches for probably the first time in my life. They are not airy-fairy songs. … They’re real stories of memories of mine of fantastic men.”
As for Stevie’s friendship bond with Harry, 31, the A-listers are more like family. In 2019, the “Leather and Lace” singer gushed that she refers to Harry as her “love child.”
“He’s Mick [Fleetwood]’s and my love child. When Harry came into our lives, I said, ‘Oh my God, this is the son I never had.’ So I adopted him. I love Harry,” Stevie told Rolling Stone at the time, before calling the X Factor alum a “kooky” guy.
“I think the thing that’s most wonderful about him — and I’ve told him this, and sometimes I think he takes it the wrong way — is that he’s such a kooky guy. He’s the type of person you’d wanna live next door to,” Stevie gushed. “He’d look out the window, see you having a hard time planting flowers, and rush out asking, ‘Can I help you with those roses?’ ‘Sure, but you are Harry Styles, right?’ That’s who he is.”
That year, Stevie joined Harry on stage at his Fine Line album launch concert and they sang a beautiful duet to the Fleetwood Mac hit “Landslide.”
