Carrie Underwood is undeniably the current Queen of Country Music, and now her living room might attest to the fact.
The 42-year-old is wrapping up her REFLECTION: The Las Vegas Residency this month, the end of an era that began in 2021.
“Y’all know after tonight that we only have four more shows left in Reflection, here at Resorts World,” Underwood says from the stage. “And some of the really cool things I feel like we’ve done with this show are the set pieces.
We got this chair that I gotta brag on the people that put this together. They literally went to a junkyard and found this super old Cadillac, chopped it up and made a throne for me to sit on. And I think I’m going to put it in my living room when we pack up. That’s normal, right? Pet my dog in my lap, crocheting in my throne. It’ll be awesome.”

Carrie Underwood’s Decision To End Her Las Vegas Residency
Earlier this year, the American Idol alum announced her decision to end her REFLECTION: The Las Vegas Residency.
“I have absolutely loved performing in Las Vegas over the past three years,” says Underwood. “I am so proud of the REFLECTION production, which is truly one of my favorite shows to perform. It’s been so special to reflect on the greatest hits that have defined my career so far and to get to share them with the fans that come to Vegas from all over the world.”
Part of the appeal for her Las Vegas residency was the opportunity to perform a show with set pieces like her throne, lighting a Jeep on fire for “Before He Cheats” and more.
“We always like to bring big production values to our show, but Reflection really allowed us to take that to a new level,” Underwood tells People. “We have some amazing set pieces that we could never pack onto trucks and move from city to city every night, and it’s been really fun adding more elements like the aerialists and dancers, which we don’t usually have in the show.”
Underwood’s final show for REFLECTION: The Las Vegas Residency takes place on April 12.
Watch Carrie Underwood Hop on Stage with Papa Roach in Las Vegas To Jam on ‘Last Resort’
One of the oddest couples in music was back at it over the weekend when Carrie Underwood hopped up on stage with her old pals in Papa Roach during the band’s show at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on Saturday (April 5) in Las Vegas.
With PR singer Jacoby Shaddix setting up the iconic refrain of “Last Resort,” howling “Cut my life into pieces” a cappella, Underwood joined in on the second part, singing “this is my last resort, as the two bopped in place while the band kicked in and they sang “Suffocation, no breathing/ Don’t give a f–k if I cut my arm bleeding” in unison over the song’s crushing rhythm.
The 25th anniversary celebration of PR’s iconic hit marked the first time they performed live with Underwood after the two acts sparked a friendship and musical kinship last year with a collaboration on a different PR tune.
“Still in disbelief over this one. On Saturday, after my Reflection show, we changed my clothes, dried my hair and headed over to catch the @paparoach show down the street,” Underwood wrote on Instagram on Monday morning (April 7) in a post that included a fiery clip from the moment. “Not only did I get to perform ‘Leave A Light On’ with them, but I got called BACK out to do ‘Last Resort,’ because, why not?! Oh, and they told me that our song went GOLD, which is amazing because it’s raising money for a great cause! These guys are the real deal. 25 years of melting faces and I know they’ve got more work to do! What a great show!”
Last year, Underwood got in the studio with Papa Roach to record a refreshed version of the group’s 2022 song “Leave a Light on (Talk Way the Dark)” to help draw attention to mental health and suicide awareness. “We were humbled that Carrie was open to our mission, and hearing the power of Carrie’s voice in that recording session we were blown away,” Papa Roach singer Jacoby Shaddix said in a statement at the time. “Not only is her vocal ability unequaled, but the impact of her voice brings a new meaning to our cause and will help people all over the globe. It’s an honor to have a ‘Rock Star’ bring life to this track with us.”
“I’m such a huge fan of Jacoby and Papa Roach and was honored to be invited to record ‘Leave a Light On’ with them,” Underwood added. “It’s a beautiful song and the message behind it and the band’s mission to shine a light on suicide prevention and mental health awareness has never been more important.” Both artists earmarked the royalties from the song to aid the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention organization.
