PGA Tour star Paige Spiranac had crush on wanted nothing to do with her

The popular golfer and social media influencer has shot down speculation that she has previously dated NFL icon Tom Brady or golf star Bryson DeChambeau

Golf influencer Paige Spiranac has quashed rumors that she’s dated Tom Brady and Bryson DeChambeau, although she confessed to once having a crush on Xander Schauffele.

The social media starlet has become a household name recently, amassing 11 million followers across her various platforms. With 4 million Instagram followers and 1.6 million on TikTok, the 32 year old previously competed as a professional golfer after showing promise during her college days at the University of Arizona and San Diego State University.

Since then, she’s tried her hand at the LPGA Tour, before shifting her focus to modeling and teaching – all while keeping a close watch on her favorite sport. Her status as an influencer has also sparked considerable public interest in her personal life.

However, the viral sensation – who divorced Steven Tinoco after four years of marriage in 2022 – has largely kept mum on the topic. The internet celeb did confirm last year that she was dating finance executive Zach Brantly, and she appeared with him on the red carpet at the 2024 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit launch party.

She has kept her love life under wraps, particularly her relationship with the Berenberg employee. However, she recently disclosed on her The SPINvitational show that she once fancied golf star Schauffele during their time at SDSU.

“I did go to school at SDSU with Xander Schauffele and another fun fact is I had a crush on him and he wanted nothing to do with me,” she shared. “He met his wife Maya at SDSU, so it was meant to be. Didn’t work out for me in that way.”

She also put an end to rumors that she’s ever been involved with someone famous – dismissing claims that she dated NFL legend Brady and LIV golfer DeChambeau. She stated: “[I’ve] never been on a date with anyone famous. I’ve had pro athletes or famous people slide in my DMs. I’ve never dated anyone famous.”

‘It’s amusing because I’ll see all these headlines. There was one where I shot content with Bryson and then a headline said I was dating ‘(‘him). Tom Brady was one of them, which was so crazy.

“It’s like any time I shoot content with a male celebrity, that’s the headline or all of the comments, which can be really difficult for my job where I work in a male-dominated industry … It’s really frustrating because I’ve never dated anyone famous ever, not even close.”

Last year, she confirmed her relationship with Brantly, stating: “Yes, I do have a boyfriend.

“He works crazy hours and he works a lot so what we do is whoever is busier, the other person will pick up the slack.’”.

Addressing misconceptions about her off-camera personality, the influencer revealed that she’s quite different in private. She added: “I’m very much the opposite of the person I am online. I always say it’s my alter-ego.

“I think that’s another misconception that I’m outgoing and a party girl because of my image online. I have severe social anxiety. It’s funny that I’m doing what I’m doing now.”
