The assassination of 31-year-old conservative Charlie Kirk has led to conspiracy theories, rumors, and plenty of political backlash, but there’s one eerie similarity that has stood out.
Many netizens have pointed out the eerie resemblance between Charlie Kirk’s death and the 1998 Nicolas Cage movie Snake Eyes.
Charlie Kirk, the founder of the Turning Point USA, was shot dead when he was addressing a student gathering at the Utah Valley University on September 10, 2025.
The 1998 movie, Snake Eyes, has been generating buzz. It was directed by Brian de Palma and stars Nicolas Cage as Rick santoro, a corrupt cop, who unearth a conspiracy theory when the Secretary of Defense is killed during a boxing match.
Netizens have pointed out to the eerie similarities between the movie and Kirk’s assassination in several posts, with some labeling it a “coincidence” while others saying it is “predictive programming”.
However, these claims remain unverified, despite eerie similarities.
The first similarity users found was, thus in the name itself, provided that Charlie Kirk’s full name was Charles James Kirk.
In the film, Kirkland gets shot in the neck, and videos of Charlie Kirk’s assassination also appeared to show the bullet hit the side of his neck.
Users have also highlighted the fact that fighter, who took the shot, in Snake Eyes, when Kirkland is shot, is named Lincoln Tyler.
At the same time, in Charlie Kirk’s case, a 22-year-old Utah native, by the name of Tyler Robinson has been arrested.
The “Tyler” bit of the name has X users believing in another link.
Some eagle-eyed users also pointed out the fight that Snake Eyes might be set on September 10, a date that eerily matches the day of Charlie Kirk’s shooting.
Though, this connection remains speculative, as there’s no official confirmation on the movie’s exact date.
There’s more, the movie was filmed at the Trump Taj Mahal Hotel & Casino, Atlantic City.
The character Gilbert Powell is also based on Trump, as per IMDb. Users react to Snake Eyes and Charlie Kirk assasination link, as one user quipped, “OMG!!!Have you told the FBI?! Sounds like something they should know.”
Another one commented, “In the 1998 movie Snake Eyes, a political figure name Charlie Kirkland is shot in the neck during a boxing match involving the champion ‘Tyler the Executioner’, the scene was filmed at the Trump Taj Mahal.”
