Kane Brown’s Wife Says “We Are Complete” When Asked About Having a Fourth Child
Kane Brown’s wife, Katelyn Brown shared that she’s not looking to have a fourth child by saying “We are complete” on Instagram.

Country singer Kane Brown and his wife Katelyn Jae got married in 2018 and have been busy since then. Barely a year after getting married, the couple had their first child, Kingsley Rose. Within a few years, Katelyn had also given birth to two more children. In 2021, they had their second daughter, Kodi Jane, and a son, Krewe Allen, in 2024. Just recently, when asked on Instagram if she and her husband would ever “go” for a fourth, Katelyn answered honestly.
The couple has been open about sharing their family life on social media. On both Brown and Rae’s Instagrams, about eighty percent of the pictures shared are of their daughters, Kingsley and Kodi. However, they don’t seem open to adding another one to the nest right now.
After prompting fans to ask questions on her Instagram story, Katelyn Brown said “no.” She said their family is “complete,” suggesting they don’t plan to have a fourth child anytime soon.
Kane Brown Wants To Give His Kids “The Life [He] Never Had”
Kane Brown has been very vocal about prioritizing his kids, mainly because he didn’t have much of a father figure. On the Great Company With Jamie Laing Podcast, Brown talked about what it was like to be raised by his mom and various abusive stepfathers.
“My dad’s been in prison since ’96,” he told Laing. “I had four stepfathers [growing up], two of them were good.” Brown talked about his negative experiences growing up as well. For example, getting caught smoking a cigarette, and his stepfather making him eat a pack of cigarettes as punishment.
While he struggled with abuse as a kid, he recalls his grandfather being the primary father figure in his life. “When I was going through child abuse and stuff with my stepdad…I wasn’t going to get to go to baseball practice one day, he came and took me out of the house and was like, ‘He’s coming with me.” Brown wrote a song expressing his gratitude for his grandfather, which he put on his album Different Man with the title, “Pop’s Last Name”. In this song, the lyrics tell the story of how he grew up.
“I grew up without a father / he’s been locked up since ’96 / But there’s another man, he ain’t here no more / that raised me as a kid.”
In the chorus, he pays homage to his grandfather, who passed away in 2021.
“Today I couldn’t be any more grateful, thankful, or proud to say / I got my pop’s last name.”
Even though it doesn’t seem like the couple is planning on a fourth, the singer’s made it clear that his kids are always going to be an essential part of his life. “I always knew that I was gonna try to be there,” Brown said. “I just always wanted to give them the life that I never had.”
