Kane Brown and Katelyn Brown Sign on for Lifetime Movie Inspired by Their Song ‘Thank God’

In 2022, Kane Brown and his wife, Katelyn Brown, released a duet called “Thank God.” The song, which talks about the gratitude they feel for one another within their marriage, went to No. 1 on the Country Airplay chart and has become a favorite among Kane Brown’s fan base. Now, the song is being adapted into a movie, titled Thank God: Christmas at Keller Ranch.
The movie, which will star UnREAL‘s Arielle Kebbel and One Tree Hill’s Tyler Hilton, tells the story of a professional hockey player (Hilton’s character) who enters rehab at Keller Ranch around Christmastime. It is there that he meets a single mom and therapist (Kebbel’s character). The movie will be based on many of the themes in the Browns’ hit, including commitment, faith, and resilience.
Brown released a statement on the film, sharing his excitement. “The song ‘Thank God’ is so special to us. We love performing it on stage, and it’s incredible how it’s connected to so many fans. We also really love Christmas and celebrating as a family. So for these two worlds to collide, we couldn’t be more excited!”
Although the couple will not be starring in the film, which will air on Lifetime, they will serve as executive producers for the project.
How Marrying Katelyn Has Given Kane Brown a New Perspective on Christmas

Country singer Kane Brown has been an open book about his upbringing and how Christmas was a lonelier experience for him, at least before he met Katelyn. “I would have Christmas, and then I would go to my room and play with what I had in my room by myself,” he shared in an appearance on The Pete and Sebastian Show. “And she’s like, ‘Let’s have breakfast and open the toys.’ But it takes hours, and then we just have a big Christmas. And that’s the stuff that at the end of the day, I’m happy for.”
The couple currently shares three children, Kingsley Rose (5), Kodi Jane (3), and Krewe Allen (1). Kane Brown shared with Extra how having kids has given him a chance to heal in many ways. “I love being a dad. It gives me a whole new outlook on life. I get to relive my childhood through my kids.”
Although a release date hasn’t been given for the film yet, fans can expect to hear Kane and Katelyn’s song “Thank God” at least three times throughout the movie.
