Justin Bieber’s got jokes.

In an April 10 post on his Instagram Stories, the “Love Yourself” singer, 31, shared a screenshot of himself appearing to call Stevie Wonder on FaceTime with a playful comment about the 25-time Grammy winner’s lifelong blindness.

“This fool never sees my facetimessss,” wrote Bieber in text displayed over a photo of himself smiling at the camera, seemingly waiting for Wonder, 74, to answer the call. He soundtracked the clip with the Rock & Roll Hall of Famer’s song “Overjoyed.”

In a 2024 conversation with journalist Wesley Morris and Barack Obama for The Wonder of Stevie podcast, Wonder recalled his early childhood. “I was born. Shortly after that, I’m blind. My mother went through the different things, and so my experience with that was deep,” he said at the time.

Wonder explained his mom would cry “every night” until one time when he said “Mama, you shouldn’t cry, you’re making my head hurt.”

“And I said, ‘Maybe God has something for me that’s bigger than all this,’” the icon recalled, adding, “History proved that true.”

Shortly before the “Sorry” singer posted the photo of him appearing to call Wonder, he shared an Instagram post on April 6 asking people to “Dm me if u wanna make music together.”

While several fans of the pop star eagerly responded, fellow musicians offered up their names — including Drake. The rapper, 38, replied in the comments: “I DM’d but no reply.”

Bieber did not directly respond to Drake’s note or the other musicians who commented, including Big Sean, Kehlani, Jaden Smith and Bailey Zimmerman.

As of late, Bieber has been teasing new music. His last album, Justice, was released in 2021.
