To quote A Tribe Called Quest, “Industry rule number 4,080, record company people are shady.”
It’s an open secret that there can be some questionable dealings behind the scenes in the music business. It isn’t always this conspiratorial, unspeakable evil, though it’s not out of the question for certain wealthy moguls. Ultimately, it’s all about trying to keep an artist within their control under any circumstances. It’s something that John Rich loathes about the music industry. Now, he’s speaking out about it.
Recently, the country crooner spoke with Benny Johnson for his podcast. There, they touch on all of the darkest parts of the world and they eventually touch on the disturbing Diddy lawsuits. It’s all incredibly horrifying stuff, from the absurd baby oil to the ways Sean Combs would silence victims. With Rich, he notes that blackballing victims is unfortunately an incredibly common occurrence. Moreover, they have a variety of ways of pulling it off.
John Rich Dishes on Disturbing Music Industry Practices to Keep People in Check
“There are tactics deployed in the entertainment industry where they will try to co-opt the big talent. They’ll try to put them in positions to compromise them, get pictures and video on them, basically as blackmail, as extortion, where then they can make that artist do anything they want them to do. It is the most sadistic, wicked, satanic stuff you’ve ever seen,” Rich explains.
Of course, the country singer’s resolve lies in this faith that Donald Trump and his administration will inevitably sort out the Diddy types of the world. “Thank God we have Kash Patel and Dan Bongino and Pam Bondi, and we’ve got some actual patriots out there who are gonna do something about it, who are not compromised by these guys. This is a deep, deep, deep dark situation,” Rich says.
This doesn’t account for any of Donald Trump’s troubling sexual assault allegations but alas. As long as the sentiment remains that these abusers must go, regardless of allegiance.
John Rich Calls Out Country Artists Who Are Afraid To Support Donald Trump Publicly
John Rich has been an avid activist for Donald Trump and openly criticizes Joe Biden online. In the face of the Carrie Underwood outcry, after she agreed to perform at Trump’s inauguration, Rich has spoken out once more.
Being a firm Republican, it delighted John Rich to see that Carrie Underwood was set to perform “America The Beautiful” at Trump’s inauguration.
“THERE SHE IS:) Carrie is a Patriot,” he said after reposting news about the event.
Not everyone is as happy as John Rich, however. Some of Underwood’s fans are incredibly disappointed by this. Speaking online, her dejected fans are threatening to boycott her music and never listen to her music again.
Responding to this, John Rich decided to speak up about the number of secret Republicans the country music industry has.
He wrote, “There are several top-tier country artists who support Trump, and I wish they’d finally have the balls to come forward and be counted. Ain’t nothing outlaw about keeping your mouth shut to appease the record label. Carrie Underwood is making you look like a bunch of sissy boys.”
