Elizabeth Hurley Says Boyfriend Billy Ray Cyrus Is Teaching Her To Play Guitar

Elizabeth Hurley and country singer Billy Ray Cyrus have been known to get affectionate on social media. So, it should have come as no surprise when the actress revealed Cyrus was giving her guitar lessons.

an Instagram post on Friday, August 15th, Hurley said, “My patient boyfriend is attempting to teach me the guitar (and yes, he’s going to replace the missing string).” Cyrus was quick to comment supportively, saying, “My girl is getting good on that guitar. Definitely doing my June. We be going to Jackson this fall !!! @elizabethhurley1 is Hotter than a pepper sprout !”

Hurley and Cyrus first met while filming Christmas in Paradise in 2022, but didn’t get together until 2 years later. Cyrus had been with singer Firerose, or Johanna Rosie Hodges, but was going through a divorce. Post the breakup, Hurley would in turn slide into Cyrus’ DMs, offering support through the dark period in his life.

Cyrus’ Relationship With Hurley Came at the Perfect Time

From there, the rest was history. On The Ty Bentli Show, the singer described his girlfriend as “a great human being” and said that even if they were only ever friends, he would “take that.” Cyrus has also said that she’s an “impressive businesswoman” who “reminds [him] a lot of Dolly Parton.”

The pair first made their relationship public this April, with a joint photo on Instagram where they wished their followers a happy Easter. Cyrus admitted that while they had been filming together, there was definitely chemistry. “We just laughed — and it was at a time I wasn’t laughing a lot.” However, the singer had just gotten divorced from his previous marriage with Tish, so it wasn’t great timing.

It was revealed in May of 2024 that Cyrus and Firestone were divorcing due to “irreconcilable differences” and “inappropriate marital conduct.” Cyrus claimed that the singer had made unauthorized charges on his credit cards while also attempting to isolate him from his family. In August of that year, the divorce was finalized, after both parties had made accusations of “verbal, physical, and emotional abuse” towards each other.

When Elizabeth walked into his life, it seemed like a healthy relationship was exactly what he needed. An insider close to the couple said of Billy, “And how lucky is he? Liz is lovely. She’s very warm, positive and the best to be around.” We hope that this one works out for Cyrus, because it seems like this time he’s got himself a keeper.
