Trump criticizes, Musk calls for impeachment of President

Tensions between former President Donald Trump and tech billionaire Elon Musk continue to escalate as the two sides continue to attack each other on social media. While Mr. Trump strongly criticized Musk’s policies and demanded to cut government subsidies for SpaceX and Tesla, Elon Musk responded with a shocking statement that the US President should be impeached and replaced by Vice President JD Vance.

“He says he will send people to Mars, but everyone knows that will never happen,” Trump wrote on social media X on June 5. “Musk seems crazy. It is time for the government to cut off all subsidies and contracts to him.”

According to Mr. Trump, stopping the flow of money to companies like SpaceX and Tesla would save the US “billions of dollars.” He also criticized Mr. Joe Biden for “not daring to do it.”

Just hours after Mr. Trump’s statement, Elon Musk immediately responded with a surprising statement: “SpaceX will immediately decommission the Dragon spacecraft.”

If the White House and SpaceX were to part ways, the consequences would be dire: NASA would lose its only strategic partner capable of sending humans into space. The Department of Defense would struggle to launch national security satellites. The human mission to the Moon and Mars would be at risk of stagnation.

As the war of words escalates, hedge fund billionaire Bill Ackman calls for peace between the two sides. “Elon Musk and Donald Trump should put the national interest above their personal egos,” Ackman wrote.

Musk responded briefly but meaningfully: “You’re not wrong.” Many saw this as a sign that the SpaceX boss was open to the possibility of “stepping down.”

Despite leaving the door open for reconciliation, Musk continued to post a striking poll: “Is it time to form a new political party in America – one that truly represents the middle 80%?” This question is seen as aimed directly at Mr. Trump’s far-right policies.

Even billionaire Elon Musk has publicly said that President Donald Trump “should be impeached” and “should be replaced by Vice President JD Vance.”

Elon Musk was once a close ally and important advisor to President Trump, especially during his second term. However, conflicts over tax policy and economic incentives have caused a serious rift in the relationship, moving from cooperation to unprecedented public confrontation.

And the war of words between the two most powerful figures in America today is not only a personal argument but also raises many questions about the future of the relationship between the US government and leading technology corporations.

This development is being closely monitored by domestic and international public opinion, because it could have profound impacts on technology policy, national security and the balance of political power in the US.
