Dave Portnoy’s long-running feud with Zach Bryan took another twist on Friday, with the Barstool Sports founder turning on the singer’s new wife.

Country star Bryan, 29, got married on New Year’s Eve to Samantha Leonard in Spain, just months after confirming his romance with her.

Portnoy and Bryan’s feud comes from the singer’s previous romance with Brianna ‘ChickenFry’ LaPaglia, who works for Barstool. Bryan announced they had split up in October 2024, before a devastated LaPaglia released a tearful video saying his announcement had ‘blindsided’ her.

She accused him of emotional abuse and claimed that she rejected a $12million NDA offer from Bryan never to discuss their relationship again.

Portnoy relentlessly attacked Bryan at the time but has turned his attention to his partner ever since they went public for her remarkable resemblance to LaPaglia.

And as news of their marriage surfaced, Portnoy repeated his line of attack by posting on X: ‘There ain’t no way that ain’t a Brianna robot. Ain’t no way.’

When Leonard was rumored to be Bryan’s girlfriend back in August, Portnoy mocked the singer for dating someone who looks so much like his ex.

‘Have you seen his girlfriend?’ Portnoy said on his ‘Unnamed’ podcast. Sharing a picture of Leonard and LaPaglia side-by-side, he added: ‘That is not Brianna. It’s insane. I mean, how is that even possible?’

He continued: ‘I honestly don’t even know what I’m looking at here. This guy’s an absolute psychopath. He went and built a Brianna 2.0 in the lab. I mean, that’s insane.’

LaPaglia herself has not responde to the news that Bryan is now married but she was asked about how much Leonard looks like her during an October episode of her ‘Plan Bri Uncut’ podcast.

‘People are like, “Are you creeped out? Are you mad? Are you annoyed? Are you flattered?” she said.

‘I am flattered, to be honest, but I dyed my hair so that people stop sending me every single picture that he posts of her.’

LaPaglia, 26, has not met someone else since her split from Bryan, insisting that she is too busy for a relationship.

In an emotional reflection of 2025 on her TikTok, she described the past 12 months as ‘the worst year of my life’ and added: ‘I realized this year that I use romantic relationships for the past years to fill some sort of void in myself.

‘So what did I do this year? I didn’t even think about having a relationship.’

She added: ‘Unfortunately, the past couple of years have made me a pessimist. I think the world sucks and people are bad, but I do realize you have the option to be good and you have the option to be the good in the world.

‘Once you start actually living by that, everything falls into place. In 2026, I want you to choose you. I promise you, good things will come your way.’
