In a recent video, Carrie Underwood reacts to an old clip from American Idol that shows Simon Cowell critiquing her Top Five performance.

Looking back, the “Jesus, Take the Wheel” singer says she agrees with the note. And she’s not alone.

“Very good other than the fact that the performance was a little robotic,” Simon Cowell tells then-“American Idol” contestant Carrie Underwood of her performance. “You sang it beautifully.”

Reacting to the throwback clip, Carrie admits that the former Idol judge “wasn’t wrong.”

She recalls thinking at the time: “I don’t know if it’s the time to go out on a limb and do anything crazy, so picking something that you’re comfortable with and then trying to work with the staging. But then also, I consider myself a vocalist, like I want to sing things well. And if I ever try to think too much about what I’m doing on stage I feel like my vocals suffer.”

All this to say, with everything going through her mind during the performance, she agrees with Simon’s note, stating, “So he was not wrong in his assessment. It was kind of a half-compliment, half-not. But he was correct.”

Carrie isn’t the only one who agrees with Simon’s critique.

“Of course he’s not wrong, he’s Simon! 😂 Love both! ❤️🔥❤️❤️” one fan commented on Instagram.

“He was always real,” wrote another.

Carrie ended the clip by poking fun at Simon. “Alright Simon, robotic then? Does this look a little more robotic to you?” she teased, while doing the robot.

Simon Cowell Shares 1 NSFW Judging Request He Had To Decline

Simon Cowell’s knack for spotting talent nearly veered into NSFW territory.

The famously sharp-tongued judge first entered our homes via “American Idol,” and despite the years — and countless eye rolls — he’s managed to maintain a following that sticks with him to this day.

But with fame comes fan encounters, and for Cowell, not all of them involve heartfelt thank-yous or selfies.

On a Thursday episode of the “How To Fail With Elizabeth Day,” Cowell shared one particularly eyebrow-raising fan interaction that even he found hard to believe.

“What do people ask you to say to them when they meet you in the street?” the host asked.

Cowell confessed that strangers would approach him and ask him if he could be “rude to them.”

“I mean literally, they would come up and say, you know, particularly in America, ‘Will you be rude to me?’” Cowell recalled.

While Cowell says he generally declines those strange requests, one fan encounter went above and way beyond. While dining at a restaurant he was approached by a man who introduced his wife, gushed about Cowell’s work, asked for a photo, and then casually dropped this little lewd gem: “Would you judge us having sex?”

At first, Cowell presumed it was a joke, but alas, he was wrong. The man was dead serious. And to sweeten the deal, he even offered to pay Cowell for the honor. He recalled it was “a lot of money” — to the tune of $150,000, according to the competition judge.

“I thought, ‘Do I? No, I just can’t do it,’” he recalled.
