Nicole Kidman had to pause filming of erotic movie because she ‘didn’t want to orgasm any more’
The Australian actor opened up about her steamy scenes in the erotic thriller

Actress Nicole Kidman previously admitted that things got a bit too hot and heavy while filming one of her titles last year.
The Australian actor, 57, has never backed away from roles that come across as more sexualised that most, such as her role as Brooke Harwood in 2024’s A Family Affair opposite Joey King and Zac Efron.
While the Netflix title wasn’t the most resounding success, it paved the way for Kidman to take on the lead role in this movie with some experience in similar roles.
However, she did admit that this film ventured into ‘an area [she’d] never been’ in before.
Kidman starred in the erotic thriller alongside Harris Dickinson and Antonio Banderas as a powerful CEO named Romy Mathis, who is in a loveless marriage and works non-stop.
Things start to change when sparks fly with a younger intern in her company named Samuel, though.

The flick is called Babygirl, and it may still be one of the most talked-about titles of the year.
It looks at the relationship between Romy and Samuel, and how power dynamics and sexuality comes into play with the backdrop of a company.
So, with this affair going on, you can imagine that the title is full of steamy sex scenes and charged moments between the actors.
There were so many, in fact, that Kidman had to stop filming multiple times after feeling like she was getting too carried away.
Reflecting on filming, she even claimed that she simply didn’t ‘want to orgasm any more’ while shooting.
Speaking to The Sun in 2024, she admitted: “There was an enormous amount of sharing and trust and then frustration. It’s like, ‘Don’t touch me’.
“There were times when we were shooting where I was like, ‘I don’t want to orgasm any more,’” she added.
Kidman went over how she felt, recalling: “Don’t come near me. I hate doing this. I don’t care if I am never touched again in my life! I’m over it.
“It was so present all the time for me that it was almost like a burnout.”
The actor had previously opened up about intimacy coordinators and how they helped her feel comfortable while filming sex scenes such as this one.

She spoke of the ‘sacredness’ of the set and that an actors’ space shouldn’t be violated.
“It’s ours, it’s the bubble, and then there’s the world outside,” Kidman stated.
The experienced actor also praised director Halina Reijnm, saying: “I knew Halina wasn’t going to exploit me. It’s the story I wanted to be part of, that I wanted to tell.
“Every part of me was committed to that. There was enormous caretaking by all of us, we were all very gentle with each other and helped each other.”
