Bruce Springsteen will soon be honored with an esteemed award at the upcoming Tribeca Festival.

The renowned film and arts festival will recognize Springsteen with its 2026 Harry Belafonte Voices for Social Justice Award, the festival announced Tuesday.

The Belafonte Award “recognizes artists and leaders who use their platform to advance equality, dignity, and human rights,” according to the festival’s website.

The Boss will join his longtime friend and fellow musician, Bono, for a conversation during the award’s presentation. The ceremony will also include tributes from Robert De Niro and Patti Smith.

“There are few figures who embody the spirit of Tribeca’s Harry Belafonte Award more fully than Bruce Springsteen,” Tribeca Festival co-founder and co-chair Jane Rosenthal said.

The event will take place at the OKX Theatre at BMCC in Manhattan on June 13 with the festival set to run from June 3 to June 14.

Springsteen is currently on his “Land of Hope and Dreams” U.S. Tour, a run of shows in defense of “American democracy, American freedom, our American Constitution and our sacred American dream — all of which are under attack by our wannabe king and his rogue government in Washington, D.C.” when he announced it in February.

President Donald Trump and Springsteen have feuded for nearly a decade. Trump has asked for a boycott of Springsteen’s shows as he called him “a dried up prune.”

Springsteen is no stranger to prestigious social justice awards.

The Long Branch native received the Presidential Medal of Freedom from Barack Obama in 2016 for his impact on American music and culture.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer was also honored by the Kennedy Center for his lifetime contribution to American culture in 2009.
