While owning a Cybertruck might be seen as a statement of wealth to some, others simply see the car as a blight on the roads and a not-so-subtle statement of one’s political leanings. Despite this, one thing that can unite people in a country that is so divided is a new viral video of a Cybertruck attempting to escape a snowbank while other vehicles just drive on by.

The video, which was initially posted to TikTok on Sunday, shows the black Tesla attempting to get out of a curb-side parking lot but could only reverse and then move forward a few feet before the wheels lost traction. According to the video, the hilarious video took place in Montreal, Canada.

To add insult to injury, the boxy vehicle is repeatedly outperformed by cheaper cars that are made with little to no problems. According to the site, the video has been viewed by users 3.4 million times.

The car, which many denizens of the internet have expressed contempt for, became the butt of several jokes in the comment section of the video. “The Honda Fit passing by it is hilarious,” one person cackled.

“Have you tried telling the snow you own a Cybertruck to impress it,” a second person joked. “Cybertruck is cyberstuck,” giggled a third person.

“My 20-year-old Tacoma could never make me look fiscally irresponsible AND cold at the same time,” a fourth person commented. “That’s multi-tasking right there, folks.”

One person joked the vehicle’s overly large windshield and accompanying wiper made the whole thing more hysterical. “Thoughts and shovels,” another person commented.

The hilarious video comes after it was revealed that the revamped Tesla Model Y car would cost almost as much as the average American family’s salary. According to new listings on the company‘s website, the Model Y Juniper will be sold beginning in March and will cost $59,990. That doesn’t include the federal tax credit of $7,500 for new electric vehicle purchases.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that the average American makes about $62,984 annually. In the fourth quarter of 2024, the median weekly earnings of the country’s 120.3 million full-time wage and salary workers were about $1,192.

Tesla’s website revealed that the Model Y has been revamped to include a redesigned fascia, front and rear light bars, an upgraded interior with ventilated seats, reclining second-row seats, and faster Wi-Fi. Elon Musk posted a video showing off the new vehicle on Tesla’s official account on X, the social media site he also owns.

Tesla is reportedly looking to revitalize its core automotive business. As executives scramble to keep up with increased competition worldwide, Tesla has faced increased competition. After markets close, those same executives are expected to discuss the company’s fourth-quarter and year-end results on Wednesday next week.

Tesla rolled out its novel Cybertruck in late 2023, which quickly became the bestselling electric truck in the U.S. in 2024. But even those sales didn’t make up for a decline in overall deliveries, which reportedly fell for the first time in 2024.
