Lindsey Vonn is entering her first Winter Olympics with a torn ACL – and also as a single woman.

Before suffering the devastating injury, which she refuses to let sideline her from competing at the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter games this weekend, Vonn, 41, said she was “excited” to focus on herself, without being tied down by a partner.

“I have never been single going into any Olympics in my life. So I’m excited to try that out,” the Team USA star told “Self,” before arriving in Milan, Italy to compete.

Although it’s all water under the bridge now, Vonn’s dating history is complicated. She’s been in several serious relationships, with the most famous notably being with golf legend Tiger Woods, 50.

Lindsey Vonn and Tiger Woods confirmed they were dating in 2013

Vonn and Woods were first romantically linked in 2013 after meeting at a charity event. After rumors of the relationship went viral, the pair confirmed the news via a social media post, following Woods’ wins during his 2013 PGA Tour.

“Something nice that’s happened off the course was meeting Lindsey Vonn. Lindsey and I have been friends for some time, but over the last few months we have become very close and are now dating. We thank you for your support and for respecting our privacy. We want to continue our relationship, privately, as an ordinary couple and continue to compete as athletes,” Woods posted at the time.

Vonn confirmed the news in her own social media post, mentioning how their relationship evolved from a friendship into a romance. “I guess it wasn’t a well-kept secret. But yes, I am dating Tiger Woods. Our relationship evolved from a friendship into something more over these past few months and it has made me very happy. I don’t plan on addressing this further as I would like to keep that part of my life between us, my family and close friends. Thank you for understanding and your continued support,” she said at the time.

They were supportive of each other’s careers

During their romance, both Vonn and Woods were seen supporting each other in their respective careers.

They didn’t try to hide their romance from the public and even stepped out at the Met Gala together in 2013, shortly after they confirmed their relationship.

The couple split in 2015

Although the athletes seemed to be happy out in public, the relationship ended in 2015.

Nor Vonn or Woods have confirmed that cheating was to blame, however, the “Daily Mail” claimed that it was sadly the cause of the power couple’s split.

“Yes, Tiger cheated again. But it wasn’t with anyone special. He really wanted Lindsey to be the one. But he blew it again.” a source told the outlet. “Lindsey found out about [the affair]. Always while he’s on the road. Just like when he was with Elin.”

A short time after the viral cheating rumors surfaced, Vonn confirmed the split on social media, saying, “After nearly three years together, Tiger and I have mutually decided to end our relationship. I will always cherish the memories that we’ve created together. Unfortunately, we both lead incredibly hectic lives that force us to spend a majority of our time apart. He and his beautiful family will always hold a special place in my heart.”

Tiger eventually addressed the breakup as well in a post shared to his website, admitting that he had “great admiration, respect, and love for Lindsey” despite the split.

“Unfortunately, we lead very hectic lives and are both competing in demanding sports. It’s difficult to spend time together,” Woods wrote.

After the breakup, the Vonn and Woods have managed to remain friends.

While Vonn is currently single, Woods is in a relationship with President Donald Trump’s former daughter-in-law Vanessa Trump.
