This holiday season, Kane Brown and his wife and Katelyn Brown are spreading the cheer in a new way by serving as executive producers for a Lifetime Christmas movie named after their chart-topping duet “Thank God.” The network just dropped a brand-new trailer for Thank God: Christmas at Keller Ranch, giving fans a look into the heartfelt story that will soon unfold.

The Story Behind The New Film
In the newly released trailer, viewers meet UnREAL’s Arielle Kebbel as Maggie Keller, a single mom running her family ranch and trying to make this Christmas especially meaningful after stepping away last year to care for her dying husband. While juggling her own grief and responsibilities, One Tree Hill star Tyler Hilton’s character, Wes Campbell, arrives at Keller Ranch looking for someone who can help him with his rehabilitation after enduring a hockey injury just weeks before Christmas.
At first, Wes is unsure whether Maggie can actually help him, appearing skeptical of the whole process. But as the two spend more time together, he finds more healing than he expected, including the emotional kind. Both of their walls start to come down, and an unexpected holiday romance begins to unfold between them.
While the Browns won’t appear on screen, their influence runs throughout the film. As executive producers, they worked closely with Lifetime’s creative team to build a storyline that matches the core themes of “Thank God,” including love, faith and the journey of choosing connection even in the hardest seasons. Fans can also expect to hear the duet play multiple times throughout the movie.
The Growing Impact Of ‘Thank God’
Watching this duet unfold on screen marks an exciting new chapter for Brown and his wife, giving their story an even deeper layer of meaning. When “Thank God” first arrived in 2022, it quickly took off, climbing to No. 1 on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart by February 2023, scoring three CMA nominations (including single of the year), and taking home the CMT Music Award for video of the year.
Listeners were immediately drawn to the intimacy of the song, which finds the couple loudly declaring their gratitude for finding each other in life, knowing just how rare their connection is. The lyrics reflect a deep sense of appreciation and recognition, almost like a shared prayer for finding “the one.” This same level of heart is set to be displayed in the upcoming movie.
“This film captures and translates to the screen the soul and wildly universal themes behind Kane and Katelyn’s hit duet,” said executive producer Adam Reed in a statement. “Their music evokes a feeling that has attracted millions of fans around the world, and it’s a gift to work with them and our partners at Lifetime to bring this movie to life.”
