British Interviewer Has Riley Green Flustered Recreating The “Worst Way” Music Video, Crawls Across The Table During Conversation

Well that’s one way to end an interview…

Riley Green is currently overseas on the European leg of his Don’t Mind If I Do tour, which has a stop at the O2 Forum Kentish Town in London, England tonight. He’ll play to another sold-out crowd, but in addition to the concerts, he’s been doing tons of press there since he clearly doesn’t get over to the UK as often as he’d probably like.

And one British interviewer had quite a moment with the heartthrob country star… but first you have to know a little bit of backstory.

Riley appeared on a podcast for an interview with UK host Katie called Girls In Low Places almost a year ago, and he had her… flustered.

So much so, that Riley told her he’d take her to Cracker Barrel and to see his goats whenever she comes to the United States. If that’s his version of an ideal date, then she just won the lottery… hey, you never know what happens when you shoot your shot, so to speak.

“When you come to the US, we’ll go to Cracker Barrel and you can come by and see the goats. The next interview we do is gonna be at Cracker Barrel. Sounds romantic. That show at Hyde Park was too good to us.”

He also (tried) to talk in a British accent in the beginning of the clip, which is simultaneously strange, yet funny because his normal southern accent is so strong I couldn’t really even process it.

The looks on Katie’s face say it all… I mean, Riley had her blushing and I guess the UK girlies just aren’t used to a proper gentlemen because I feel like she’s still recovering from this interview. Something about her accent and being from the UK makes this so much funnier and cuter:

So when Riley came to town this time, Katie didn’t miss her chance to recreate his now-famous “Worst Way” music video, which has a few references to one of Riley’s favorite movies Bull Durham with the cereal scene and all.

Of course, “Worst Way” was first part of his Way Out Here EP, then on his third studio album Don’t Mind If I Do last year. It was a solo write by Riley, and quickly became a fan-favorite for its sensual, seductive lyrics and departure from what Riley normally writes about, which is heartbreak and losing a girl… the complete opposite of this song. And the music video is certainly not safe for work, so to speak, and I’m sure you’ve probably seen it and know exactly what I’m talking about.

Katie had the table for the interview sticked with milk and cereal, and she even wore a robe and some sort of corset for the interview, which was certainly a bold choice… the British girlies are just on a different level.

But it was the very end of the conversation that had Riley flustered this time, as Katie crawled across the table to create the scene from “Worst Way” where Riley and the lady are at a restaurant and she does the same thing.

He of course laughs as she crawls through the table towards him, and my favorite part had to be when he looked under the table to make sure everything was stable. He turns bright red, which is funny because it’s usually the other way around when girls are around him, I’m sure:

Riley and Katie also joke about getting HR involved, and I have to commend her for going all the way there and not being afraid to just go for it. Though Riley’s interviews might have a few more parameters in the future… I’m not sure we’ll get another moment like this again.
