Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo Are Getting “Baby Fever” As They Try for a Child of Their Own

Bunnie Xo and Jelly Roll are ready to be parents. The artist opened up about their journey on a recent ‘Star Search’ episode.

Bunnie XO Bites Back At Haters Who Claim Their Love Is Fake After Red Carpet Kiss

Jelly Roll is a judge on Netflix’s Star Search, a revived version of the TV talent show that had everyone excited in the 80s and 90s. In the episode that came out on Wednesday, the “Need A Favor” singer gave insight into how his personal life and family-building journey with wife Bunnie XO is going so far.

Jelly Roll and Bunnie, who got married in 2016, have two kids from Jelly’s previous relationships, Noah Buddy and Bailee Ann. However, since around June 2024, the couple has been actively trying for a baby of their own. That means lots of IVF treatments for Bunnie. In a TikTok from June of that year, Bunnie shared that she was going through “all of the emotions.”

“I’m going through all of the emotions, the rollercoaster, the worry,” she shared. “Just so that I can have a little piece of my husband and me—just a little piece wrapped in skin—to just add to the other two beautiful children that we have together.”

On the most recent episode of Star Search, Jelly Roll said he got “baby fever” just from watching eight-year-old Kaelyn Fairchild’s aerial routine. “First of all, you are just the cutest little nugget I’ve ever seen in my life,” Jelly told her. “Me and my wife have baby fever, and you just tripled that tonight.”

Even though it seems like the singer and his wife are currently trying for a baby, Bunnie has previously shared on social media that, even if she were pregnant, she wouldn’t announce it to fans.

Bunnie Xo Feels Ready To Be a Mom

In an episode of Dumb Blonde, Bunnie Xo shared that she finally feels ready to be a parent. Growing up, the podcaster didn’t always have the biggest support system, which she has been open about online.

“I just feel like I’ve been healing so much trauma with my parents that I finally am ready to be a parent,” she explained. “Like, I’ve helped raise Bailee since she was 7, and I think that also showed me that, hey, I’m not gonna f— up a kid’s life too badly.”

“But I feel like I’ve mastered…not mastered, but I feel like I can do this. You know?” she added. “And I just want a little piece of J and I together.”

However, she also acknowledges that, as a woman, she’s on a bit of a time crunch. Bunnie is 45 years old and has struggled with multiple pregnancy losses in the past. Her body’s been through a lot, which can come with complications when trying to have a baby.

In a November episode of Dumb Blonde, Bunnie talked about adoption as a possibility for her and Jelly Roll. “It is tough, but at the same time it’s like, you just put it in God’s hands. If it’s meant to be, it’s meant to be,” she explained.
