“We’re working and working, but there will be new music by then,” Malone said, teasing new music before February 2026.

Post Malone hasn’t slowed down on making new music since releasing his first country album, F-1 Trillion, in 2024, having been working on his follow-up project amid his busy touring schedule. In a new interview with Billboard, Malone revealed that he has nearly 50 songs ready for consideration for his next album, and that fans might get to hear some of them sooner than they may think.
“We’ve been working very, very diligently on new music. And we have 45 songs. It’s just a matter of finishing said songs,” he said. “And the schedule has been so very busy.”
Part of that busy schedule includes headlining the upcoming Bud Light Presents Post Malone & Buddies, a concert surrounding Super Bowl LX set for February 6 at Fort Mason in San Francisco. “We’re working and working, but there will be new music by then,” Malone said of the event. “Allegedly.”
He added, “Allegedly a hundred percent maybe, definitely. Keep your ears [open].”
Bud Light Presents Post Malone & Buddies
Bud Light Presents Post Malone & Buddies’ will take place about an hour away from Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, where the Super Bowl will be held, and continues Malone’s tradition of performing at events related to the big game. In 2024, he got a call from the NFL, performing “America the Beautiful” ahead of Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas, and earlier this year ahead of Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans, he headlined the YouTube Tailgate Concert and a Bud Light Backyard concert.
In November, Malone headlined the Thanksgiving game between his hometown team, the Dallas Cowboys, and the Kansas City Chiefs, telling Billboard he “would love to” one day headline the Super Bowl halftime show.
Based on the Texas star’s ever-increasing popularity, that’s certainly within the realm of possibility, and a potential halftime show from Malone would likely be bolstered by his next album. In April, he told Billboard that he had already made around 35 songs for the new project; “it’s just a matter of which ones rock, and which ones sock.”

The singer shared that he and his songwriting crew, which includes friends and collaborators like HARDY, Ernest, Thomas Rhett and more, “just have fun” when they’re making music together. “We just sit and f—ing talk and make songs,” he said. “And so I’m pretty excited for the new record already.”
He also praised his band, revealing that they had cut several songs and were “f—ing killing it.” “I sit there and listen to these songs, and I usually hate listening to my music, but listening to the band play, I get so excited,” Malone shared.
Reflecting on F-1 Trillion, he said the project was “f—ing b—ching” and “so fun to make.” The process was different for him than the records that had preceded it, and Malone explained that he hopes to keep the same vibes going for his follow-up album.
“I think finally bringing the fun back into what I was doing really showed on the record,” he reflected. “And I think a lot of folks had fun listening to it. And we’re going to attempt to do it again. I’m excited to keep going.”
