Former One Direction star Niall Horan has turned his passion for golf into a profitable endeavour with his sports agent company Modest! Golf Management amassing the tidy sum of €350k, Extra.ie can reveal.

Horan  who this week recounted the time Rory McIlroy asked him to caddy for him during the 2015 Masters golf tournament, took up the sport of golf some years ago and is understood to be himself handy with a club.

Recalling the moment, Mullingar man, Horan, revealed the details about McIlroy’s request, saying – ‘He just texted me like a week before. He said ‘Do you fancy carrying the bag for the Par-3’.

But Horan’s indulgence in a game of golf is not confined to powering around the golf course, as he has also established himself in the business end of the sport.

In 2016, Niall, along with his music management team and Mark McDonnell, a golf industry professional, registered Modest! Golf Limited with the U.K. Companies House.

The company was created to manage professional golfers and support young talent, growing out of Horan’s passion for the sport and desire to see a more inclusive approach to its management and promotion.

The golf agency has several women signed to their books including star female golfer Leona Maguire.
