Zara McDermott has reportedly “already met Louis Tomlinson’s family” amid reports that their relationship is causing a divide within Sam and Zara’s friend group.

The former Love Island star, 28, split from her ex Sam Thompson in December after five years together, and Zara is now said to be dating the One Direction singer, 33.

Over the weekend, their relationship was made public when they were spotted on a romantic dinner date at a hotel in Suffolk.

Their budding romance is reportedly moving quickly as sources have reported Louis has introduced Zara to his family.

A friend told The Sun: “Zara has already met all the family and they can tell that she has made Louis giddy.”

“It’s the first time in a long time that they have seen him happy,” the source continued.

“They think Zara is super wholesome and health-conscious so they are happy he is with someone who shuns the party life.”

The report comes after it was reported Sam and Zara’s friends feel “stuck in the middle.”

A source told The Sun: “It’s really hard as the friendship groups were combined for five years and everyone was so supportive.”

“But now they’ve been torn apart and people are having to take sides. Some people have chosen Sam, others have chosen Zara – and some people are stuck in the middle.”

“Louise was cynical about Zara but did warm up to her. Pete was always close to Zara, so the split is hard for him too.”

The former couple’s split was first reported in December after five years together.

The reality TV couple first confirmed their romance in May 2019 and went Instagram official the following month.

In July, it was reported that the pair were in “crisis relationship talks” but seemed to resolve the issues.

However, The Daily Mail reported that Sam and Zara ended their relationship after growing apart in January.

A source close to the couple told MailOnline: “Sam and Zara have ended their relationship. It’s been an incredibly difficult decision for them to part ways, they still care and have a lot of love for each other.”

“But after a tough year of working hard at their romance, they have split and will be focusing on their individual careers going forward into 2025.”

“There has been no scandal or fallout between them, it’s just the result of a difficult year, where they both had to spend a lot of time focused on their own projects.”
