Kim Kardashian’s daughter has a new music track, which sees her donning even more controversial studs

Kim Kardashian's response to critics over daughter North West's extreme looks

Kim Kardashian has responded to the hate her daughter North West has gotten since adopting an edgy new style.

The 12-year-old, whose dad is Kanye West, has been met with criticism lately after images on social media and videos on TikTok have shown her with both faux and real piercings, blacked-out teeth, and fake tattoos.

To this, the SKYMS founder has had a lot to say on the topic of adults judging her child’s looks.

The mum-of-four, explained how she has to ‘manage certain things from the outside world’ as she spoke with her sister Khloe on her podcast Khloe in Wonderland.

That’s when the 45-year-old said ‘no one knows unless they’re in my shoes of what I’m dealing with’ when asked about the situation.

North, has been called out in the last year for showing real and fake body modifications, such as her ‘shark teeth’, blue hair, ‘piercings’ on her face and body, and a real dermal piercing on her middle finger – which was met with the biggest flak.

The latest incident comes with the release of North’s new music video for her track ‘#n0rth4evr,’ which shows her rocking several faux stud piercings under and around her eyes, swaying in a graveyard whilst delivering 2000s scene-kid Tumblr vibes.

The black teeth also made another appearance, with people online having mixed reactions.

“Young Emo Icon,” one person wrote, as another said: “I could never imagine having the confidence to put music out as a 12 year old!”

When speaking on Khloe’s YouTube channel, Kim said because of how North dresses, there’s a ‘misconception that people might have is like, ‘oh, she’s trying to be her bestie’ and lets her get away with a lot’.

“Like, no. Northy actually has a lot of rules,” she said. “The one area is I do let her express herself, and I do let her do that.

“I love her for that and she would do it, you know, regardless.”

She added: “It’s funny like people are like, oh, this blue hair all of a sudden or like her fake piercings that she puts up.

“I have pictures of her when we’re in first grade, pre-k, where she’d come with like a fake septum ring and she has her green braids and she has pink braids.

“But she’s always loved the colored braids in her hair since she was little.”

However, North hasn’t exactly been quiet about the backlash either as she rapped on the track ‘Piercing on My Hand (Ye Version)’: “All my friends are hits, you know I’m not lazy/You’re so angry that I’m so mainstream. I’m not sure I’m crazy/I want more piercings and tats/I love blue hair put it in some plaits/Put the music to the max/I want like a hundred thousand racks.”

“She does listen to me, but in other areas, I’m like, ‘Babe, if you want blue hair, it is what it is.’ You know, it makes her so happy,” Kardashian said in another interview, this time on the Call Her Daddy podcast. “I would never take that creativity away from her.”

She said: “As a mom, you’re kind of learning at the same time. What I do know is my baby’s such a good girl and such a sweet girl.”
