The MAGA-leaning fest cites rising gas prices, which ironically were brought on by Trump’s war against Iran

The traveling Rock the Country festival, featuring Kid Rock and other headliners at its various stops, is catching heat for pricing its tickets too low.

The MAGA-leaning festival announced on Wednesday that tickets have been reduced up to 50%, with single-day general admission now priced at $59, and GA weekend passes lowered to $99 (tickets available here). The rising cost of gas (brought on by President Trump’s war against Iran, ironically) has been cited as the reason for the new ticket prices via the following statement:

“Fuel costs are up and we want to help! In response to rising transportation costs, you can enjoy up to 50% off general admission passes to any of 7 small town stops for a limited time only. Use code FUEL for $59 single-day and $99 weekend GA tickets at rockthecountry.com while supplies last. Take advantage of this offer, fill up your tank and we’ll see you this summer! Promotion ends April 23rd at midnight ET.”

That isn’t sitting well with fans who already bought tickets, with one commenting, “So can I get a partial refund on the tickets I already bought, not very fair to discount the tickets after people bought them for full price.”

Another person chimed in, “You guys said the longer we wait prices will go up and now this. I would have saved almost $450 if I had waited till now. This isn’t cool. Ticket sales will plummet next year due to this, everyone will wait for the $99 tickets. Give people a partial refund to cover the difference.”

The Rock the Country fest has already canceled its two-day stop in Anderson, South Carolina, after Shinedown, Ludacris, and others dropped out over the festival’s political leanings.

In the same update as the new ticket prices, Rock the Country revealed that Staind are stepping in for Jelly Roll at the Sioux Falls, South Dakota, stop, citing a scheduling conflict as the reason the latter dropped off that city’s lineup.

While fans are upset about the low ticket prices to Rock the Country, Kid Rock’s upcoming headlining tour faced criticism for pricing its tickets too high, with front-row seats going for $5,000 each. The musician blamed the “fake liberal media” for reporting on the factual prices.
