Kid Rock Speaks Out About Bad Bunny’s Halftime Show: “I Didn’t Understand Any of It”
After performing opposite of Bad Bunny at the “All-American Halftime Show,” Kid Rock offered his critique of the reggaeton artist’s show.

After headlining Turning Point USA’s All-American Halftime Show, Kid Rock shared his take on Bad Bunny’s performance at the Super Bowl on Sunday, Feb. 8, at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
The “All Summer Long” singer’s tone was surprisingly empathetic toward the reggaeton superstar. We have the details below.
Kid Rock Said Bud Bunny’s Performance Was Not His “Cup of Tea”
While appearing on The Ingrahm Angle on Fox News, Kid Rock was among the many who commented on the fact that Bad Bunny performed most of his set in Spanish.
“Like most people, I didn’t understand any of it,” Kid Rock said. “I saw there’s a lot of dancers and a lot of big to-do stuff. And, you know, he said he wanted to have a dance party. It looked like he had one.”
This certainly falls in line with comments the singer made last week when he was announced as the headliner for the All-American Halftime Show.
“[Bad Bunny] said he’s having a dance party, wearing a dress, and singing in Spanish? Cool,” he said last week. “We plan to play great songs for folks who love America.”
Obviously, Bad Bunny did not wear a dress during his show. But as Kid Rock continued his assessment, he sounded almost sympathetic toward the “Moscow Mule” artist.
“Not my cup of tea, but I don’t fault that kid for doing the Super Bowl, getting in front of a global audience,” he said. “I fault the NFL for putting him in that position and Turning Point for having to come out and have an alternative for people to watch. You know, it’s just — poor kid.”
It’s certainly a contrast to President Donald Trump’s review. He called the show “one of the worst, EVER” on Truth Social.
How Well Did the “All-American Halftime Show” Do?
That depends on who you talk to. Before it even began, many observers took issue with how the 55-year-old’s lyrics contradicted the wholesome values that the event was meant to highlight.
However, it is estimated that nearly five to six million viewers watched the event. Many commented that the show was “awesome,” patriotic,” and “very moving.”
Others noted the technical difficulties at the beginning of the show. Many believed that Kid Rock lip-synced during his hit “Bawitdaba” and that many of the other artists’ songs felt too political.
