Kid Rock Said He’s Being ‘Suppressed’ On Social Media & Can’t Sell Concert Tickets

Kid Rock recently took to social media to try to get people to buy tickets to his Freedom 250 Tour. In a video he shared, he explained that his son gave him some social media advice and told him that he would have to do something other than a simple post about his tour to get people’s attention, so he settled on… a video tour of his office?

When explaining why he decided to take this approach, Kid Rock also claimed that he gets “suppressed” on social media. People are mocking him for this. The general consensus is that if he’s struggling to sell tickets for his tour, there might be other reasons for that…

But Kid Rock complained about being “suppressed” due to his politics.

To be fair, Kid Rock’s political views might be impacting his ticket sales, but not because people aren’t seeing his posts. At this point, as a vocal supporter of President Donald Trump, he’s very much associated with MAGA, especially after his performance at Turning Point USA’s “alternative” halftime show during the Super Bowl.

In the video he shared on X, Kid Rock said, “My son—who I could not be more proud of—holds down two jobs while taking care of a family, helps me with my social media because that’s what he does. And he told me, ‘Dad, if you want to promote something, you have to put some juicy content in there. Something more than just what you’re promoting, so it gets clicks and views.’”

He went on to say that this advice seemed particularly relevant to him. “Otherwise, especially somebody like me gets suppressed—probably from my politics, whatever—so I’m taking heed to that,” he explained. “And today to promote the 250 Tour, I’m also going to give you a tour of my office.”

However, the office tour clearly wasn’t enough to convince some people to attend Kid Rock’s concerts, even if they previously liked his music. One former fan commented on the post saying, “I used to like you and then you sided with the orange man.”

Some critics just mocked him.

From their perspective, if people aren’t buying Kid Rock’s tickets, they probably just don’t want to go to his concert. “I’d rather go to work than have to sit through 2+ hours of a Kid Rock concert,” one critic wrote on Reddit. Someone else wrote, “Unlikable a–hole with terrible music wonders why he has poor ticket sales. It’s a true mystery.”

People also had questions about his claims that he’s being “suppressed.” One commenter said, “Suppressed??? Haha you have got to be kidding me.” And another joked, “Considering that I keep hearing about him against my will, he’s clearly not suppressed enough.”

Someone argued that Kid Rock actually gets tons of “free publicity,” so, surely, “If people were actually interested in his music, then they’d buy tickets.” After all, he frequently appears on Fox News and even starred in a video alongside Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. “He is being platformed by an entire political party,” another critic wrote. “This is the opposite of suppression.”

And if he wants more attention? “He should call RFK Jr and make another weird hot tub video,” one person joked.

Cost could also be a factor.

Previously, Kid Rock made headlines over his ridiculously expensive concert tickets. He later took to social media to complain about how journalists were reporting that he was selling “extremely limited First Class seats” for $5000, even though he was actually doing exactly that. His point seemed to be that not all of his concert tickets cost $5000, which is true—but that doesn’t change the fact that $5000 seems really steep for any type of ticket.

In response to Kid Rock’s claims about suppression, one critic wrote, “Well gas prices are currently suppressing my budget so…”
