Kelsea Ballerini is not dealing with the drama this year.
The “Patterns” singer recently appeared in actress Madelyn Cline’s Instagram story on Feb 2. The two of them seemed to be hanging out casually, covering their faces as if they were laughing at something.
Regardless of what was going on, the story’s message is loud and clear. If you thought the Outer Banks star and country singer were feuding, think again.

Why Did Fans Think Madelyn and Kelsea Were Feuding?
In November of 2025, rumors of a feud began when Kelsea released her EP, Mount Pleasant. It features the song, “Emerald City”, which fans suspect might be about Madelyn. The song talks about being jealous of an ex, which Madelyn is, and someone who has brown eyes, which Madelyn does.

In late 2025, Chase Stokes and Madelyn were in Croatia filming the upcoming season of Outer Banks together, which sparked romance rumors among fans. At the time, Chase and Kelsea were broken up.
It seems like there’s no beef on Madelyn and Kelsea’s end, but just this morning, fans noticed that the actress had unfollowed Chase on Instagram.
