‘It’s personal’: Keith Urban left deeply ‘hurt’ as daughter Sunday Rose unfollows him on Instagram after Nicole Kidman divorce

Keith Urban is said to be devastated after his daughter, Sunday Rose, unfollowed him on Instagram following his divorce from her mum, Nicole Kidman.

Keith Urban has reportedly been left feeling “hurt” after his daughter Sunday Rose briefly unfollowed him on Instagram.

Sunday, 17, who is Keith’s eldest daughter with ex-wife Nicole Kidman, unfollowed the country crooner earlier this week, but continued to follow her Oscar-winning mother.

While the up-and-coming model quietly re-followed her father a few hours later, the damage was apparently done, and Urban has taken the move as a “personal” snub.

“Sunday knew exactly what she was doing,” a source told journalist Rob Shuter.

“It was a pointed move, and Keith got the message loud and clear.”

According to Shuter’s source, it was Kidman who urged Sunday to re-follow her father, despite understanding how “upset” she is.

“Nicole was the one who told her to take the high road and cut it out,” they continued.

“She understood why Sunday was upset, but she also knew making it public would only make things worse.

“Keith is hurt. He knows this wasn’t just about Instagram. It was personal.”

The A-list couple, both aged 58, finalised their divorce in January after confirming their shock split in September 2025.

Since her parents’ separation, Sunday Rose has been a vocal supporter of her mother, claiming she’s the “biggest inspiration” in an interview with Elle in March this year.

“My mum is someone who has always been so creative and my biggest inspiration in life. She’s a key part of everything I do,” she said.

Following the divorce, Sunday and her sister Faith Margaret, 15, have continued to live with Kidman, with divorce documents stating Urban will see them “every other weekend”.

Insiders have claimed the sisters have essentially “cut off” their father and blame him for “every problem” they’ve experienced in recent months.

“[The girls] are completely team Nicole and, right now, Keith is the bad guy. He is the cause of every problem in their minds, and it’s harrowing for him,” the source told Daily Mail.

“He’s really distraught about it. He loves those girls, but they are so angry at him and they’re blaming him.

“I don’t even think this is Nicole painting a narrative, this is the girls coming to this conclusion on their own.”

Kidman filed for divorce in September citing “irreconcilable differences”. They had been married for 19 years.
