“I have had a feeling about this song since the day that we wrote it and it really represents a new era of music for me,” Brown said of the track.

International Women’s Month may be this month, but Kane Brown is celebrating the most important woman in his life all year long, his wife Katelyn Brown. The country music superstar, 32, husband and father of three, recently released his newest single, “Woman,” a high-energy anthem dedicated to his muse and wife, Katelyn Jae Brown.

Produced by Dan Huff, “Woman,” which arrived on Friday, March 13, finds Brown reflecting on the carefree, single lifestyle he once lived and how far he’s come since then. Now in husband and father mode, the singer makes it clear that the party days are far behind him.

“I couldn’t be more excited about releasing ‘Woman.’ I have had a feeling about this song since the day that we wrote it and it really represents a new era of music for me. The video, the song, the energy that it is bringing – I can’t wait for the world to hear it,” Brown shared in a statement.

The first verse of the song, co-written by Brown alongside John Byron, Ashley Gorley, Ben Johnson and Taylor Phillips, opens with Brown’s friends urging him to go out and have fun, pushing him away from the settling-down lifestyle and toward the familiar bachelor ways. But he quickly shuts that down. Rather than joining the crowd, he’d rather stay close to the one person who matters most. It sets the stage for a chorus that doubles as a proud declaration of love and loyalty.

Yeah, they talkin’ ’bout girls (Girls) / But I got a woman (I got a woman) / Yeah, I got a woman right here in my hands / They talkin’ ’bout girls (Girls) / But I got a woman (I got a woman) / Yeah, I got a woman / Oh yeah, and she got a man,” he sings.

Though the song is undeniably a love song, it’s far from a slow ballad. Instead, “Woman” leans into an energetic, feel-good sound. A crashing drum rhythm drives the track forward while pulsing electric guitars and vibrant violin accents add a lively country-pop edge. The result is a song that feels just as fitting on a dance floor as it does blasting through the speakers on a night out.

The “Woman” music video matches that upbeat energy. Beginning with an urban setting, the visual shows Brown sporting a football jersey while surrounded by his boys, pumping fists and chatting in the background. Making their way to a bar beneath a building, Brown’s friends let the fun happen, as the singer smiles on while looking at the enjoyment unfolding around him.

One highlight in the clip is that Katelyn makes a cameo during a scene, laughing in the sunlight as Brown dances through the city with his pals. He showcases his soft side by offering flowers to a child on the street while his buddies are meeting potential girlfriends, or perhaps, future brides.

Throughout the video, the focus remains on celebrating women — from confident dance floor moments to playful interactions between couples. Brown appears both mouthing the lyrics and soaking in the electric energy throughout, with scenes in a car and even a moment for a choreographed dance scene, leaving potential for “Woman” to become the next dance craze.

Of the track, Kane Brown told Audacy’s Katie Neal, “We were finishing this one song we were working on and I just got up to go warm up my food and as I’m warming up my food, this title just falls in my lap, ‘They’re talking about girls, but I got a woman,’” he explained. “So I went and sat down and I told em, ‘I think I got the next song we’re going to work on.’ And they said, ‘What is it?’ And I told them, and they’re like, ‘Where’s that been all day?’ I said, ‘I literally just thought about it in the kitchen.’ And I don’t know, it kind of just wrote itself.”

“Woman” continues Brown’s momentum following several major releases in recent years. The single arrives after his 2025 songs “2 Pair” and “Unspoken,” as well as his album The High Road. The 18-track project featured collaborations with artists across genres, including Marshmello, Khalid, Jelly Roll, Brad Paisley, and Katelyn herself.
