Jelly Roll Sparks Hilarious Debate About Using The Same Bathroom As Your Wife: “You’ve Got To Respect Her Peace”

Jelly Roll

Jelly Roll might be on to something here…

Jelly Roll is officially back in the United States after his leg of touring in Australia. While some might think that Jelly Roll would spend his first days back in Tennessee catching up on sleep, spending time with his wife, Bunnie Xo, or his children… You might want to think again. Jelly Roll is trying to get his gut right as soon as he sets foot on American soil.

Before heading back to the USA, Jelly Roll sat down with the No Filter podcast, hosted by Kate Langbroek, and admitted that this tour took a toll on him mentally, and he was struggling greatly with being so far from home.

“I’m falling apart. It’s a horrible week. Yeah, I’m doing the worst mentally I’ve done for a long time…I’m really far from home, and it’s really hitting me that I’m really far from home, like, in an anxious way.”

However, being homesick was not the only battle Jelly Roll was facing. He was dealing with some serious stomach issues.

“This is No Filter, right? This trip over here f***ed my stomach up. I mean, it f***ed my stomach up in a way that my stomach hasn’t been f***ed up in a year or two. Like, I just can’t get out of it, dude.”

Jelly Roll shares that he naturally has an uneasy stomach, which makes long travel hard on him. Jelly also says that when his gut is acting up, it affects many other facets of his mental health.

“When my stomach’s not right, nothing is right. My mind’s not right, everything I’m just not thinking clear. All I’m thinking about right now is ‘Why does my stomach feel like this?’ The whole time we are talking, right now, it’s what I’m thinking about.”

Jelly Roll and Kate Langbroek then discuss how flying is notorious for causing stomach flare-ups and how flight attendants frequently battle stomach issues. They joke that his stomach is like a bag of chips and he inflates when he’s in a pressurized cabin. Of course, in true Jelly Roll fashion, he then spins that analogy into his experience with flying and hilariously shares how that pressure affects him.

“You know what it is, it’s just the air. But the problem is that air pressure. When it sits against that rectum, you spend the whole day thinking you’re fixing to s*** yourself, and really you’re just waiting for your body to relax enough to fart. Welcome to the No Filter podcast, everybody.”

A no-filter conversation at its finest.

That flight home must have really done another number on Jelly Roll because, upon arriving back home, his wife found him bringing in the big guns to get his stomach back on track. Bunnie Xo hilariously captured her husband assembling a new Squatty Potty in their kitchen after returning home:

“Not just any Squatty Potty, but a bamboo flip stool Squatty Potty. Unkink your colon with Squatty Potty.”

Honestly, Squatty Potty should hire Bunnie Xo after that ad read. Jelly Roll hilariously responds to his wife:

“And listen, I got a kinky colon. My colon is kinky, dude.”

For those who don’t know, a Squatty Potty is basically a little step stool that you put your feet on while you’re doing your business. It’s supposed to put your body in a more natural position go to the bathroom. Jelly Roll and a friend struggle to assemble the wooden bathroom accessory, and Jelly Roll explains to the group that we need some squat in our bodies to use the restroom properly. As Jelly Roll looks at the assembly instructions, confused, he notes that, after 10 years together and not being a handyman, he’s changing his ways and is ready to be a full-fledged handyman.

Once the Squatty Potty is assembled, Jelly Roll passes along some wise marriage advice before walking off (presumably to the restroom) with the device that will “unkink his colon,” but I actually found it to be quite an interesting arrangement. He says:

“Any good husband knows that you can’t s*** in the bathroom that she s***s in, because that’s where she s***s and you’ve got to respect her peace and sanctity.”

Amen to that. Happy wife, happy life.

But it begs the question… how many of you out there are using a separate bathroom than your spouse for your dirty work? Is this a widely-adopted strategy or is Jelly Roll on an island with this one? Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman famously said they use separate bathroom, but… we all know how that worked out.

This video is just another reason country fans love Bunnie and Jelly Roll. They are as genuine and authentic as it gets. We all go number two, so might as well have some fun joking about it in the process.
