Kid Rock has announced he’s slashing ticket prices for his upcoming music festival, while also confirming Jelly Roll will no longer headline one of the performances.

The musician, whose real name is Robert James Ritchie, has reduced Rock the Country ticket prices by 50%, sharing the news on Instagram. While fans will welcome the more affordable tickets, many will be let down as Kid Rock also confirmed Jelly Roll has pulled out of the Sioux Falls, South Dakota, show on June 28.

Rock band Staind will step in to replace him. The Rock the Country festival has been facing challenges with ticket sales, with some concerned it might be canceled altogether.

Jelly Roll fans can still catch the 41-year-old performing at the Bloomingdale, Georgia, and Ashland, Kentucky, dates on the tour. Miranda Lambert and Jon Pardi have also been added to the bill in Ocala, Florida, on August 28 and 29.

Rock the Country posted the update on Instagram with a message that read, “Hey you American Loving people! We have a few super important updates for you!” reports the Express US.

“Fuel costs are up and we want to help! In response to rising transportation costs, you can enjoy up to 50% off general admission passes to any of 7 small town stops for a limited time only,” the statement continued.

It went on, “Use code FUEL for $59 single-day and $99 weekend GA tickets at rockthecountry.com while supplies last. Take advantage of this offer, fill up your tank and we’ll see you this summer! Promotion ends April 23rd at midnight ET.” While many fans are eager to take advantage of the 50% discount, those who have already purchased tickets are demanding refunds.

“Cool, can I get this discount on tickets I already purchased because next time I’ll just hold out to buy tickets,” one person said, as another fumed, “We basically get punished for buying tickets right away?”

What is the Rock the Country Festival?

Rock the Country is a touring music festival showcasing country music acts, co-founded by Kid Rock in 2024. The festival’s mission is to bring high-profile artists to smaller communities across America. This year’s event promises to be particularly special, as it is set to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States Declaration of Independence.

Kid Rock, Jason Aldean and Creed are among the headliners set to take the stage, alongside Jelly Roll, Blake Shelton and Brooks & Dunn. Additional acts on the lineup include Lynyrd Skynyrd, Miranda Lambert, Riley Green, Hank Williams Jr. and Nelly.

Ella Langley, Chase Matthew, Josh Ross, Hudson Westbrook and Gavin Adcock are also scheduled to perform. Shinedown, Ludacris, Morgan Wade and Carter Faith were originally announced as performers but have since withdrawn from the festival.

When and where is the festival?

Rock the Country runs from May 1 through September 12, featuring seven shows across seven small towns. In May, country music fans can catch the festival in Bellville, Texas, and Bloomingdale, Georgia, before it heads to Sioux Falls, South Dakota, in June.

In July, Rock the Country will stop in Ashland, Kentucky, before heading to Hastings, Michigan, and Ocala, Florida, in August. The festival will wrap up in September in Hamburg, New York State.
