Erika Kirk named to Time Magazine’s prominent list
Erika Kirk has pledged to continue her husband, Charlie Kirk’s, tour through college campuses. The widowed mother of two has recently taken over as CEO of Turning Point USA, and it appears that she is becoming a person to be reckoned with. Now, she takes place on Time Magazine’s list of the world’s most influential rising stars.
Erika Kirk lost her husband, Charie Kirk, in the heinous shooting during an event at Utah Valley University in early September. Since then, the mother of two has taken center stage and, besides the immense grief, also focused on keeping her husband’s legacy alive.
Last weekend, Erika appeared on The Charlie Kirk Show, pledging to continue Charlie’s tour through college campuses nationwide, which is named the American Comeback Tour. Further, Kirk stated that Turning Point USA is moving “full steam ahead.”
“We’ll never be silenced,” Kirk said. “That’s why continuing his platform in a beautiful, honorable way will reinforce that he will never be silenced. My husband’s voice will go on.”
Erika recently took over as CEO of Turning Point USA, a non-profit organization founded by Kirk. It claims to be the “largest Conservative student movement” in the US with groups at more than 3,000 universities and high schools.
“We will not surrender or kneel before evil,” board members said in a statement as Erika was named CEO. “We will carry on.”
Erika Kirk named on TIME Magazine’s Most Influential Rising Star list
While Erika Kirk is tipped to become a very important figure within the MAGA movement, she has now secured a spot on a prominent list.
TIME Magazine has revealed its list of “The World’s Most Influential Rising Stars,” on which Erika Kirk appears. Another prominent MAGA movement figure on the list is White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt.
“Few would have faulted Erika Kirk if she had stood before tens of thousands at her husband’s memorial and demanded retribution. Instead, 11 days after Charlie Kirk was assassinated while speaking at a university, his 36-year-old widow offered something rare in today’s politics: forgiveness,” TIME wrote.
“Her words may frame the future of the organization her husband launched as a teen and built into a political powerhouse mobilizing young conservatives across the country. Along the way, Erika Kirk emerged as an influential voice for that same audience.
