The Voice’s Michael Bublé’s ‘strange’ finale performance raises concerns after hinting he’s not returning to the show

The singer made a shocking comment about his future on the show during the first part of the finale on Monday

THE Voice’s Michael Bublé has raised eyebrows with fans after delivering an unusual performance during the show’s finale.

Michael performed several numbers on Tuesday’s Season 28 finale, including an opening number with his fellow coaches and former contestants.

While Niall Horan had to sit out after being ordered to vocal rest by his doctors earlier in the week, Michael and the season’s two other coaches, Reba McEntire and Snoop Dogg, hit the stage without him.

However, many fans were taken aback by Michael’s performance, with many claiming he “sounded off” and not like his usual self.

“Michael Buble’s a great singer, but those Journey songs sounded rough,” one person wrote on X.

“Is Michael Buble alright? He doesn’t sound right on #TheVoice Finale,” wondered another.

“Wtf is going on with Michael…? Wheres his smooth and sultry voice…” said a third.

Fans expressed the same thoughts in a Reddit thread, calling out Michael’s seemingly odd behavior.

“Michael didn’t just sound off, he was acting a little off too…” one commenter said.

“He seemed like that last night too, this is the first season i’ve watched where he’s coach so i can’t tell if he’s just like that or something is up,” a second replied.

“He’s not normally like this to this extent… He could be sick too,” speculated a third.

“Was Buble’s tongue swollen? He was really off,” asked a fourth.

“Buble sounded kinda strange on his riff,” chimed in a fifth.

“Was Bublé super emotional?? Is this for real his last season ever??” added a sixth, mentioning Michael’s remark the night before about this being his last season on the show.

The Haven’t Met You Yet singer made the off-hand comment while praising his finalist, Jazz McKenzie’s performance during the first installment of the two-part finale.

“I wrote you last night, I told you you are the light … this is it. This is my last time here,” Michael shared while holding back tears.

“I leave this show, and let me tell you, Jazz McKenzie, what a way to go. You are perfect.”

Michael didn’t elaborate on his comment, but he seemed to suggest he’s not planning to return as a coach or mentor on the singing competition show.

The Canadian singer won the last two seasons of The Voice with Sofronio Vasquez and Adam David, and had two finalists in Season 28, Jazz and Max Chambers, who were defeated by Team Niall’s Aiden Ross.

It’s already been confirmed that Michael won’t return to his red chair next season, as Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, and Adam Levine will take over for a Battle of the Champions season.
