The Outstanding Milestone Darius Rucker Just Reached

Country music legend Darius Rucker boasts one of the most impressive resumes of any musician in history.

He is a three-time Grammy winner and the first Black artist to win the CMA New Artist of the Year. In 2023, Rucker was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The South Carolina singer fronted Hootie and the Blowfish before venturing into a successful solo career, which includes Platinum-certified albums Learn to Live and True Believers.

On Wednesday, Rucker added another remarkable achievement to his Hall of Fame-worthy career.

His 2013 hit “Wagon Wheel” has become only the 15th country song to reach a billion streams on Spotify, making him the latest entrant in the Spotify Billions Club.

Rucker, who averages over 8 million monthly Spotify streams, is one of the most played artists on the platform.
