Country music star Zac Brown is a couple of years removed from an ugly divorce from Kelly Yazdi, but the two are not removed from ongoing court battles.

And Brown just scored a big win in federal court, per TMZ.

The outlet reported that a judge ordered Yadzi to return documents she took when Brown fired her from working at his company. Per TMZ, the judge ruled that Yadzi breached her employment contract by taking and retaining “170 confidential business emails and files.”

The ruling came down last week, and TMZ said that Yazdi was given seven days to return the files. The court reportedly found that Yazdi forwarded emails to herself after she was fried.

Brown and Yazdi were married in November of 2023. She previously claimed that Brown asked for a divorce nine days after they had their wedding party.

Brown’s attorney, Brad Beckworth, told TMZ that they were “grateful” for the ruling.

“The evidence at trial showed that Ms. Yazdi betrayed Zac’s trust, took critical confidential information that didn’t belong to her, and used it to attack him publicly for her own gain,” Beckworth told TMZ. “The permanent injunction should put an end to it.”

Yazdi’s lawyer, Josh Belinfante, told TMZ that he disagreed with the ruling, and claimed that Yazdi had already destroyed the emails.

Brown made headlines late in 2025 during his residency at The Sphere in Las Vegas.

For folks that missed it, the imagery used in the show prompted some on social media to accuse Brown of performing a satanic ritual. Video from Brown’s Dec. 12 performance in Las Vegas shows him addressing the issue with crowd at the end of the night, per Taste of Country.

“Thank y’all for such an incredible, incredible night tonight,” Brown told the crowd. “I want to say a little something about this show because there’s a lot of people that picked it up online saying that we are doing some kind of satanic ritual or something like that. I don’t think we can put any more love and light into a show than what we put into this one.”

Fans cheered as Brown continued.

“And I think there are forces out there that don’t want this message to get out, so if you get a minute drop somebody a comment or something online that’s trying to say that we are trying to worship the devil which is horseshit,” he added.

The band began its “Love & Fear” residency on Dec. 5, and as Whiskey Riff noted, videos from the opening of the show “appeared to be a descent into Hell.” TikTok videos shared from the concert show Brown playing while wearing a crown that looked a whole heck of a lot like horns while being surrounded by skeletal, Devil-like images.
